This class will start with the components in modern furnaces, using the Trane equipment as example. From there an understanding of sequence of events as well as detailed interaction of devices will build. Electronic controls, variable speed blowers, variable speed inducers, 2 stage gas controls, modulating gas valves, and thermostats will be covered. Furnace wiring diagrams, fault codes, and troubleshooting will round out the class. Lunch is included. This class is good for beginner to intermediate levels and the experienced tech will appreciate the review. This class is eligible for 8 hours of NATE Continuing Education Credits! Size and placement of registers and return grilles impact delivered comfort. Operation of different types of thermostats and how the equipment is set up can impact Delivered Comfort.
