INSTALLATION MANUAL RUNNING BOAR Including: -Introduction -Installation Instructions -Electrical Schemes -Spare Parts list -Putting into service An Installation Video is available on Youtube : =youtu.be
INTRODUCTION The Running Boar consists of a target fixed to a trolley, which moves along at between 5 and 30 kw/h on a single rail. The rail : The 40meters (50-meter maximum) long rail offers a shooting «window» of 12meters. It is up of 2 meters totally galvanized lengths, each weight 6 kg., giving a total weight of 200 kg. The kit can be moved and transported easily. As an additional option, the rail can be extended to 50 meters. Motorization: This is an electric motor- gearbox Operating on 220V single phase power supply. The brake- moto is equipped with an electronic speed variation. The Kit is delivered with two cabled remote controls : a manual remote control, with 50 meters cable to operate the speed of the target by means of a potentiometer. a foot releases remote control, the foot control does not operate the speed control but acts essentially as an on-off switch. The speed (fixed) is factory set but can easily be adjusted if necessary (when it is connected to a manual remote control). a radio a radio release remote control is optionally available
Target and trolley: Two Types of target trolley exist: a single target on a pivoting chassis Two collapsible targets. The single target version allows for the use of a special 3D target adapted for archery contact us for more details). The trolley is worked by a cabling system in galvanized steel. It is possible to stop the trolley in the center of the rail to adjust for shooting. If the Kit is to be transported around, a 6 KWH Generator System should be used. The Set up time is around 1 hour 30 minutes. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE RAIL AND THE TROLLEY SHOULD BE PROTECTED (AT A HIEGHT OF AROUND 35CM) FROM BULLETS. (THE LIMIT SWITCHES SHOULD BE PROTECTED AGAINST REAL AND PLASTIC BULLETS.) Warranty: 1 year
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS A) Preparation of the Installation Area Please prepare a clean field, stable, leveled and free of plants. B) Positioning The Installation of the Motor Set will be done on the left side. (1)
C) Mounting of the Rails Place on the whole length supplied feets and rails and begin to assemble the Units. Please assemble successively one tubular section with one seat junction until you have reached the length of 40 meters. Please check that the rails are straight and have a correct alignment- use a guiding line if necessary.
D) Running Boar Trolley Please Place the Trolley on the Rail System Ou en l additionnant en démontant les 2 galets (6). G) Installation of the steel cable Put the cable under the rail system and place it through each feet support Link it to the 2 rods in position 0. Place the cable under tension by screwing the rods. Fix one side on the Trolley.
E) Fixing the Feets Fix the Feets with Bolts in the concrete and close the close the single Rail with corresponding End Part.
F) Installation of the electrical circuit Mount the micro-switch System as per Installation document (7) G) Installation of the Guidance Rail Place and fix the Guidance rail (Black) as per document..
H) Fixing The Cable Fix the cable on the right side of the Trolley and tighten the cable by turning the rod.
G) Installation of the Motor Install the Motor F) Vérification /Test Please check the fluent progress of the Trolley on the whole rail length to check if the rails are correctly assembled and that the trolley touches the micros switch.
I) Turning Target At the End of each cycle, The Trolley stops when touching the second micro switch. The push-pad can be adjusted so that the turning of the target by 180 is achieved.
ELECTRICAL SET UP INSTRUCTIONS AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Connect the cables on to the control box terminals (see wiring plan) : pass the wires through the stuffing gland at the bottom of the control box then : Connect the 9 numbered wires of the cable release to the 9 terminals to the left of the control box. Connect the 7 wires of each control box of the limit switches "left and right" on the following terminals. The short wire corresponds to the "left limit switch" control box (near the motor). The long cable corresponds to the "right limit switch" control box (at the extreme end of the course).!! Do not inverse the boxes!! Do not connect the conductor wires number 8 to 11 nor the earth conductor wire. Connect the 6 wires from the motor cable to the 6 terminals at the extreme right (5 numbered wires and earth conductor). 2. Connect the 3 wires of the 220v + earth power supply cable. 3. For the first test, regulate the speed to virtually minimum (turn the potentiometer button to the left). 4. Switch on the circuit breaker of the control box and press on the black button "SERVICE" on the control box door, the lamp lights up. 5. Press on the "START" button of the variator (green button at the top hand right, inside the control box). 6. To start the trolley, press on the "START" button (on the door of the control box or the cable release). The trolley advances at the speed determined by the potentiometer. At any
7. time, press on the "STOP" button of the control box or cable release to stop the trolley. To end the cycle, increase the speed by the potentiometer then press on the "START" button. The trolley starts off at a rapid speed then slows down when it detects the corresponding limit switch before swivelling. It stops completely when it reaches the end limit switch of the course. To restart a cycle in the opposite direction, give another push on the "START" button. At any time, the emergency stop button on the control box stops the trolley and cuts out the power to the system. To restart, press on black button "SERVICE". In the case of a fault (motor overload, power high or low voltage), the inverter automatically stops after a variable time depending on the nature of the fault. To restart, once the fault has been diagnosed, open the control box and first press "RESET" then "START" on the inverter. If, for any reason, the trolley does not stop at the end of the course, it will trigger one of the security limit switches, which also necessitates the restart procedure described above.
