The pre-sale show was won by Mr DE & Mrs SJ Cheacker, Pilning, with a 9m Limousin steer which went on to sell to the judge Mr Gilbert Brooke at The Reserve Champion, a 10m Limousin heifer from Mr E Davies, Shepton Beauchamp rose to The sale was topped by first time Vendor Mr JAV Mills, Llanafanfour, with a 6m Limousin heifer which achieved Mr E Davies scored again at 1700 with a 9m Blue heifer was bid for an 8m Limousin steer from Mr JM & Mrs AM Lewis, Pumpsaint. Mr JAV Mills also sold a 9m Charolais heifer at Only two under 1000 when all Vendors were well rewarded for their excellent efforts. She was dry and 7 months incalf. Incalf heifers topped at 1900 for Polden Lisa by Rosecroft Fagin being 3 years old and 7 months incalf. Other incalf heifers to 1780 and Most of the dry and 6-7 month incalf cows sold between 1300 and outstanding bulling heifers sold to 1850, 1750 and Purebred incalf cows sold to 1280 (x2) as did crossbred cows, all from Mr Bown s dispersal. Simmental cows with Autumn calves from Mr P Fisher attracted interest to 1320 and A run of pedigree Devon incalf cows PD+ 7-8 months sold to 1100 and 1060 for Mr P Holt, Hertfordshire. Couples (390E & 544L) A fantastic entry of 390 ewes with 544 lambs sold to noticeably less interest, as the recent bad weather has certainly dampened buyer enthusiasm.
