3 The Grade E Pig price for week commencing 02/03/2015 was per 100Kg, against in the previous week. This compares to in the same week last year, a 6.2% decrease. 61,702 pigs were slaughtered this week, of which 2,026 were sows. The cumulative figure for pig slaughterings in 2015 is 600,705 which is 7.7% up on the same point last year. The National Average price for the week commencing 02/03/2015 was per 100Kg, a change of +11.5% over the same week last year. 34,398 sheep were slaughtered at sheep export premises the week commencing 02/03/2015, compared to 37,175 the same week of. Cumulative sheep slaughterings for 2015 are 6% down on the same point in at 350,044 head. Total live exports stand at 46,745 head to the end of December, a 32% decrease over the same period last year. Cumulative poultry slaughterings for 2015* stand at 14,973,887 birds at the end of week 10, 6.6% down compared to the same period last year. *Latest Figures are provisional and subject to change
