2 FOREWORD This most genuine dispersal sale on behalf of the Burton Family results from their decision to retire from farming, the farm having been sold. The sale comprises 72 Cows and Heifers In-milk and In-calf together with a Pedigree Hereford Stock Bull. The herd is cubicle housed and milked through an Abreast Parlour with management based on a low input system of grass silage. The Herd is not milk recorded however the Bulk Sample shows a quality of 4.26%F 3.52%P cc154 This is a most genuine herd of cows where inspection and attendance is thoroughly recommended.

3 GENERAL NOTES Directions to Leek Market From Leek Town Centre take the A520 Cheddleton Road. At the first set of traffic lights turn right into Junction Road. Proceed through the houses and the entrance to the Market lies on the left hand side just before the Pride of the Moorlands Public House. The Market is clearly sign posted on the A53 Newcastle to Leek Road and the A520 Leek to Cheddleton Road. Method of Sale All cattle will be sold in the pound and settlement of all accounts shall be made in full immediately at the close of sale. The herd will be sold under Farm Sale Rules a copy of which can be obtained from the Auctioneers. Refreshments - Refreshments will be available from the Leek Market Cafeteria. Cheques/Payment Intending Purchasers not known to the Auctioneers must produce, prior to bidding, an acceptable Banker s Reference. Under new regulations introduced by the Banks, such references are now obtainable by the Bank s customers themselves and have to be obtained by them direct from their Bank. Unless an acceptable Banker s Reference is produced Payment is strictly Cash. Persons unknown to the Auctioneers and who pay by cheque will have their goods impounded until cheques have cleared and the Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the bid of any potential unknown customer. Health Status - The herd passed its last TB test on the 16 th September 2016 and is on yearly tests. Dry Cows - All Dry Cows have been tubed with Cepravin or Leo Red. Order of Sale - The sale will start after the sale of the usual Commercial Entry which starts at 11am.
