2 JUSTIFICATION OF AWARD Item #6 - HUNTER OCL-410 LT PRO - On car Brake Lathe Reject low bidder, Matco which bid AMMCO 8000TV Deluxe. They only provided a sales brochure that did not list specification. Second low bidder, Coastal Automotive, bid Pro Cut Model PFM It only has 1 HP motor vs. 1.5 HP specs. Also would need to order additional 7-pc adapter package, at additional expense to have equivalent capabilities. This product does not meet specs. Recommend third low bidder, Affordable Automotive which met all specification set by the District. Item #8 - HUNTER CSP Wheel Balancer Road Force Measurement System or Equal. Reject low bidder Matco which bid Coast XR 1800 Plus Base Kit. Recommend award to second low bidder, Affordable Auto. Best price of those which meet the specification set by the District. Item #9 - HUNTER GSP Wheel Balancer. Reject low bidder Matco which bid Coats Model This product does not employ laser placement of weights, which is much more accurate. Also it will not automatically set the wheel size. This must be done manually; therefore this product does not meet specs. Recommend award to second low bidder, Affordable Auto. Best price of those which meet the specification set by the District.
