1 INFORMATION FOR DISTRIBUTORS JUNE 2017 Dear Friends, The Eduard year is gradually approaching it s annual midpoint. A quick glance at the calendar will tell you that it is only mid-april, leading to questions about what Sulc is going on about now, Our planning has come to June realization, and the main objective of today s newsletter is to introduce you to those products. However, I will not begin with new items, but rather with ModellBrno. As you are most likely aware, we have entered into a co-operative venture with KPM Brno with respect to the organization of this traditional event. Without any big explanations about peripheral details I will point out that our part involves the financial support and everything that said finances entail. With that, the choice of venue fell under our responsibility, and this is managed by our accounting department. Actual vendors tables fall under the jurisdiction of my colleague Karel Padar, and if you should have any concerns, questions or suggestions about your table(s) at ModellBrno, you can turn directly to him. Should any questions arise with respect to any of your orders or invoicing, that falls onto Karel s wife, Klara. I would also like to take this opportunity to request that all invoice payment terms be kindly respected and adhered to. There is a high demand for tables and those that are ordered but not paid for on time could be, out of necessity, allotted to someone on the waiting list. I am sure that that will make a certain amount of business sense. ModellBrno (Hall B of Brno Exhibition Centre) takes place on Saturday, June 17 and on the afternoon before, the 16th, the floor will be open for vendor table setup and contest model placement, and also for an evening party. I am hopeful that this year s ModellBrno is a success and that all will be satisfied with our effort. I have similar hopes for E-day three months later, which will be held at a new venue after ten years at the Butovice garage. It will be held at in the conference hall of the Tophotel in Prague. For all of this we are preparing new sign-up applications, including those for vendor registration, and these should be up and running through May. Turning our attention to new items for June, the assortment is unusual, even a bit curious. There will be three ProfiPack kits released, with a representative of the Limited Edition line unusually missing. This was originally supposed to be the Bf 110F in 1/48th scale. But with the makeup of the kit, we decided it would be more prudent to place it in with the ProfiPack kits. There are still a lot of requests for the Bf 110F permeating within the modelling forums. We decided that enough of popular demand is there to support its release, although we originally intended on dropping the version altogether. The ProfiPack line also will see the re-release of the Roland C.II in 1/48th scale. This is not a straight rebox, The decal sheet has been revamped according to recent internet chatter. The third ProfiPack item slated for June is the 1/72nd scale Spitfire Mk.X- VI in the bubbletop version. The new items are capped off with the still very popular Bf 109G-6 in 1/48th in the Weekend Line. This will offer two decal options and will represent the classic G-6 built at Messerschmitt in Regensburg. Turning over to accessories, the Brassin line seriously stands out with the release of the F-14A Tomcat cockpit for the Tamiya kit in 1/48th scale. Going by the very brisk sales of accessory items for this kit, be they masks, photoetching or other Brassin items, this cockpit should prove to be extremely popular. For that reason I recommend special attention be paid to this item. Also noteworthy are the two sets designed for Hasegawa s new H8K2 Emily in 1/72nd scale. These sets cover the guns and the engines. I think that both of these also carry a lot of sales potential. That s not to suggest that the remaining Brassin accessories are some sort of flops. I certainly would not expect that from the BigSin set for the 1/32nd scale Bf 109G-6 by Revell. In terms of photoetching and masks, I want to point out the first two sets designed for Trumpeter s latest naval subjects, the German sub Type VIIC in 1/48th. This kit is quite a brute and has a price tag to match, bet even so, I expect that accessories will sell for it at an above average pace, and we are preparing even more sets for it, both photoetched and Brassin. While on the topic of naval subjects, we will continue on with the release of sets for the HMS Hood in 1/200. Other sets are for aircraft. In 1/72nd scale, we have a set for recently re-realesed Hasegawa s Ki-49 Donryu/Helen, and two for Trumpeter s MiG-31B/BM. We also have masks for the MiG-31, the mask for the Helen is available right now (Cat. No CX097). In 1/48th scale we have two sets for the Super Seasprite from Kitty Hawk, two for the Su-25UB from Smer, a kit originally produced by OEZ Letohrad and later by KOPRO (originally Kovozavody Prostejov). The 48th scale sets are capped off by one for our own Bf 110F. You will also find masks available for the Super Seasprite and the Bf 110F. Sticking with masks (nice pun, no?) I need to point out another set of masks for recreating the antiglare sections of the B-17G. The final mask to note today is one for the F-35A in 1/32nd scale from Italeri, for which we are also offering three photoetched sets. In fact there are five sets, the other two to be found in the ZOOM line, and that applies to the other above noted models, too. Actually, the ZOOM sets are this month more varied than normal, and they deserve a closer look. You won t just find the simplified sets for the given subjects, but also sets covering seatbelts. We also incorporated a part of the STEELBELTS line into the ZOOM line, this time French belts from the World War Two period in 1/48th and 1/72nd. There are also ones designed for the Spitfire Mk.IX in both noted scales for the Eduard kits. of course, they can also be used in other Spitfire kits. To top it off, we also have a set of German rudder pedals, again in those two scales. Although small, these components warrant a really close look, because on the basis of modeller s suggestions. And with that, my description of new items comes to a close. I would only ask that you get your preorders into us by May 2, 2017, or better yet, a little earlier than that.
