6 PRODUCTS EUROCULTURE SDN BHD EUROCULTURE SEA SDN BHD Rockfall barriers and catch fences Geobrugg rockfall protection mesh systems (catch fences and rockfall drapery/rockfall netting) made from hightensile steel wire consist of the following product groups to match different rockfall problems Slope stabilization The TECCO slope stabilisation system (boulder netting, flexible facing) stabilises steep, weathered slopes in place of concrete and shotcrete constructions and conventional net systems Rock protection The robust SPIDER spiral net of high-tensile 4 mm steel wire strand secures loose rocks, rock spurs and overhangs, also unstable rock formations with a very irregular surface structure and coarse block weathering Sinkhole protection The ERFA system pursues the notion of part protection with the aim of reducing the risk of sinkholes and the associated costs to an acceptable level through cost-effective and simple action. Debris flow barriers Our flexible ring net barriers withstand high static and dynamic loads. They can be installed with a low outlay of material and man hours, greatly reducing costs and construction time. Emptying is simple. Shallow landslide barriers Our flexible shallow landslide barriers made from high-tensile steel wire protect roads, residential areas and railway lines. Safe and Rapid Mining Geobrugg rockfall barriers for mines are based on a much tried and tested technology that was further developed for use on berm benches in mines for rockfall events up to a nominal energy of 5000 kj.

7 WHY GEOBRUGG Geobrugg a Swiss based Company has developed and produced technologically mature protection systems from steel wire nets, which are installed worldwide. Their dynamic and static protective structures provide proven protection against - rock fall - avalanches - Mud and debris flows - slope failures Since the introduction of dynamic rock fall protection barriers over 40 years ago in Switzerland, net designs were continually researched and developed to catch and retain rock fall, debris flow and small snow avalanches. From 1989 through 2001, several research projects with Geobrugg in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Spain, South Korea and in Switzerland, conducting 1:1 field tests have been realised with the target to improve the energy absorbing capacity, the economy and the safety of dynamic rock fall barriers, and static slope protection systems. These so called active systems provide a support to the rock surface as a combination of rock nailing, to guarantee the overall stability of the concerned slope section, with a special tensioned wire rope net or wire mesh in between the anchor grid. Similar to the rock fall barriers these systems can be designed and adapted to the local slope conditions and boulders to be retained.
