2 ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING Overheat/Fault indicator The overheat/fault indicator helps to prevent operating the tool under abnormal conditions which could lead to damages. The indicator lights up: The motor temperature is too high. The user should switch off the tool and leave the water running to cool it off. During drilling, always ensure sufficient water flow for cooling. The indicator is blinking: The power source is out of tolerance. User should switch off the tool and check the power source, incl. extension cables (see User s Manual). 3 ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING Iron Boost When the core bit hits a rebar,pressing the Iron Boost button provides higher torque to cut faster through it. Once the rebar is cut through, pressthe Iron Boost button again to turn it off and to regain rotation speed for coringfaster in concrete and to avoid reducing the lifetime of the core bit unnecessarily. Coring faster in strongly reinforced concrete Save labor time and costs Hole starting function For smooth hole starting, especiallyof big diameters, low rotating speed is needed to avoid vibration. By pressing the ON button a second time Hole starting mode will be activated. With very slow rotating speed (approx. 21 /min.) the hole could be started much easier. 4 CUTTING-EDGE TRANSMISSION Power rpm Torque E-gears E-gears are gears which are adjusted electronically. Select a diameter range, theoptimum combination of rotation speed and torque is automatically adjusted. For small diameters the maximum rpm is maintained to achieve high coring speed while the power is reduced to preserve core bit life. E-gears can be switched during operation - no need to switch the tool off as with mechanical gears e.g. the lowest gear can be used to start the hole then switch to the right diameter range for optimum performance. New DD AF-CA unit provides an intelligent feeding of the coring toolwith similar performance than an experienced user.
