1 FIRE DOOR OPERATOR LOGI BOARD REPLAEMENT KIT K A-600 APPLIATI Replacement of logic board for model FDO-AU operator with fi rmware version 600. INSTALLATI REMOVE A AND D POWER 1. Disconnect A power to the operator. 2. Open operator cover. 3. Remove D power by disconnecting the battery connection. To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from electrocution, disconnect electric power to operator BEFORE installing. ALL electrical connections MUST be made by a qualified individual. REMOVE EXISTING BOARD 1. Match replacement logic board dip switch settings to the current logic board. Refer to page 5, if needed. 2. Remove all the ends of the wires connected to the existing board and neatly lay them over the side of the electrical box. Leave jumper wires located on the board connected until new logic board wiring. 3. Remove the nylon nuts (7) holding the logic board to the electrical box and hold for reassembly of new board. 4. Remove the screw holding the heat sink to the electrical box and hold for reassembly of new board. 5. Remove logic board from the box, leaving the existing standoffs in place. INSTALL NEW BOARD 1. Install the new logic board in the electrical box using the old standoffs. Be sure to install in the same confi guration as it was removed. 2. Secure logic board in place with the nylon nuts (7) removed in step Secure the heat sink to the electrical box with the screw removed in step 4. LOGI BOARD WIRING Single Phase A Operators Follow wiring directions on page 2. For additional help refer to the wiring diagram on page 3. Three Phase A Operators Follow wiring directions on page 4. For additional help refer to the wiring diagram on page 5. PROGRAM SETTINGS Follow instructions on page 6 for FDO optional control settings. 3 SINGLE PHASE A WIRING NOTE: For additional help with wiring refer to the wiring diagram on next page. EXISTING WIRES Jumper Wires NOTE: Remove jumpers from original board and install them on new logic board as follows. 1. onnect the black wire from pin J17 to #23 on the terminal block. 2. onnect the yellow wire from pin 3 to pin onnect the blue wire from pin 1 to pin onnect the orange wire from pin 4 to pin onnect the brown wire that runs from #16 to #20 on the 6. onnect the original blue wire from pin J12 to #18 on the 7. onnect the black wire from pin J30 to #24 on the Transformer 1. onnect the black wire that runs from the primary on the transformer to pin onnect the white wire that runs from the primary on the transformer to pin onnect one of the brown wire that runs from the secondary on the transformer to pin J9. 4. onnect one of the brown wire that runs from the secondary on the transformer to pin J8. BRAKE 1. onnect the black wire from the brake to pin J onnect the red wire from the brake to pin J16. Limit Switches onnect the original limit harness to the 4 pin terminal on the board marked J3 limit switch. Motor 1. onnect the original grey wire from the motor to pin J6. 2. onnect the blue wire from the motor to pin onnect the purple wire from the motor to pin J7. 4. onnect the yellow wire from the motor to pin J5. Overload 1. onnect one of the black wires from the overload to pin onnect one of the black wires from the overload to pin 6. NOTE: For pushbuttons, sensing devices, power wiring and other additional options refer to wiring diagram on next page. 3

4 SINGLE PHASE WIRING DIAGRAM (FDO5011AU & FDO5021AU) NOTES: 1. See AUTI owner s manual for dip switch functions and programming procedures. 2. To REVERSE motor direction; REVERSE purple and gray motor wires at J6 & J7. 3. Unit comes standard in 2 wiring mode. B2 wiring mode requires a LiftMaster Monitored Entrapment Protection device. For B2 mode, remove one end of jumper from -3 and connect to -16. Dip switch #4 (S1-4) must be in the position. 7 OPTIAL TROL SETTINGS - FDO ALARM DELAY TO LOSE S1-1 and S1-2 set the Alarm Delay to lose time of the operator. Alarm Delay to lose is the time between when the operator first receives an active alarm signal and the door starts to close. Refer to illustrations below for various settings. 10 SED DELAY 30 SED DELAY 45 SED DELAY 60 SED DELAY FIRE ALARM SYSTEM Select the alarm system being used. If the alarm is a normally open system then S1-3 must be off. If the alarm is a normally close system then S1-3 must be on. N.O. ALARM N..
