Voltage and current view on PC screen indicate Battery condition, stater motor and engine wear. MT02 diagnostic functions: 1, Battery condition: charging level. 2, Battery condition: internal cell condition, stating current durability test (mechanic gearbox case) 3, Starer motor, starter motor circuit condition A 4, Engine condition under starting process. 5, Engine condition: long therm cranking condition (engine cranking not starting); comparing cylinder compressions. 6, Charging system control.

2 7, Sensor test (VR, HALL) easy to use PC oscilloscope. Measuring methods: 1, For memory back up (HIFI, BCM) connect parallel battery to the car wiring terminals. Optional kit. Take attention for polarity! 2, Take of battery negative terminal. 3, Connect lead wire to the negative terminal of battery. 4, Place conical end truth the MT02 device. Note: Battery side text must be face to battery side. Connect conical end to original wiring harness terminal. 5, Disconnect memory back up device. 6, Switch of all electrical devices. Wait a 2-3 min. To leave car back to basic position. 7, Connect device voltage measurement wires to the battery terminals. 8, Start the MT02 PC software. Connect USB cable to the tool. Red button will change to green one. 9, Click to Zero calibration button. 10, Click Start button. 11, Turn the IGN. Switch ON. Do NOT crank engine jet! Wait until fuel pump switch of 3-5 sec. And switch on headlight. ( some car have automatic system, do not care). Wait 2-3 sec. And: 12/A: starting condition/charging system test: Start the engine and let it on idle speed for 5 sec. Increase engine rpm up to 2000 rpm. For 3 sec. After let it on idle 2 sec. And stop the engine. Click to Draw button! PC will show voltage and current curves. You can focus with the cursor and left button of mouse, and return by 13, For saving record type number plate, mileage

3 Battery OCV open circuit voltage: PC will indicate if voltage under 12,3 V. Battery CCV closed circuit voltage: If headlamps loaded voltage drops under 11,8V, than charge battery for proper test results! Battery voltage drop: if voltage drop under 7V, than this indicate defective battery, or improper starting current ability of battery. Battery voltage drop Cranking current form: if starting current form has a double view, than battery has large internal sulfation effect.

4 Before starting last compression average current: If value smaller than in table given, indicate starter motor or starter motor circuit fault. If value greater than in table, indicate good engine condition, or mechanical problem of starter motor (bearing fault,...) ( in case of difficulties you can block ignition too). Push accelerator pedal and crank engine for 5-6 second. Note to the current curve! If maximum and minimum values same, than all cylinders has same compression forces. If one cylinder has a smaller current value (-15%), than this cylinder compression force weaker. To identify problematic cylinder pls. use cylinder identifier wire harness. Engine condition test

7 Battery Durability test: from Function menu pl. click Battery Durability Note: this test perform only MT transmission cars! 1, Engage 5 gear, push brake pedal. 2, Start measurement. 3, Try to crank engine for 4 sec.. Engine will turn approx. 1/2 turne, and blocked by transmission. Do not realise ignition switch/start button for approx. 4 second. 4, Realise cranking, and wait 3-4sec. Switch of ignition. 5, Stop measurement. Starter motor good condition Faulty Starter Motor Note: Current increasing, internal resistance of motor reducing. This indicate comutator/bush early problems.

8 Sensor test, PC oscilloscope function: Click on Sensor test button. Device change record mode to the high frequency sample record mode. Note: tool can record only positive impulses. It is perfect for HAL sensors. VR sensor test: Note: tool can record only positive impulse!

9 Crankshaft sensor output voltage: Peak voltage 4V.
