Installation Instructions for Nova Power Suspension Up/Down - Center Feed Glide Up/Down - Center Feed IMPORTANT INFORMATION - This product is suitable for indoor locations. - Care and Maintenance: To clean wood panels (if applies) dust them using a dry rag or use a very dry damp cloth with furniture cleaner. - This instruction shows a typical instruction. Fullerton Ave Chicago, IL 6064 Tel: Fax: info@edgelighting.com NSUD_P- W-C_-_ GLUD_- W-C_-_ 904-NSUDP-C_0 Install the Canopy A MOUNTING PLATE NOTE: It is recommended more than one person assist in this installation : Loosen and remove the six Phillips screws from the canopy to remove the mounting plate. B MOUNTING PLATE PHILLIPS (6x) 2: Select the appropriate knockout on the mounting plate and remove it using a flathead screwdriver or other appropriate tool. KNOCKOUT C D CEILING 3 4 ANCHOR CEILING 3: Align the mounting plate holes with the junction box holes and mark one point on each side of the junction box through the mounting plate holes onto the ceiling. These points are used for the anchors. 4: Tap the anchors onto the marked points up to the threaded portion with a hammer. 5: Screw in the threaded portion of the anchors with a Phillips screwdriver. 6: Feed the 20VAC power wires through the mounting plate knockout. 7: Secure the mounting plate to the junction box and anchors using #8-32 screws. 7 6

2 Install the Fixture E : Determine the fixture height (H), from the bottom of the channel to the top of the canopy. H F CHANNEL 2 CORD GRIP 2: Push each coaxial cable through each cord grip inside the canopy. Push the tab cord grip to release the cord. NOTE: If cable is curled or kinked, straighten by holding between the shaft of a screwdriver and thumb and pulling the cable through. G 3 WIRE STRIPPERS 3: Using the 8 AWG hole of the wire strippers, remove " of the outer braided wire. 4 BARE WIRE /8" INNER INSULATION 4: Using the 20 AWG hole of the wire strippers, remove /8" of inner plastic insulation from the end of the coaxial cable. BRAIDED WIRE H 5 5: Unscrew the coaxial connector covers and remove from the connector assembly. I 2MM ALLEN WRENCH.5MM ALLEN WRENCH 6: Using the provided.5mm Allen Wrench, remove the M3 set screw from the coaxial connector assembly. M4 SET 6 M3 SET 7 7: Using the provided 2mm Allen wrench to loosen (do not remove) the M4 set screw. J 8 BRAIDED WIRE 9 8: Slide the connector cover over the coaxial cable. 9: Place the ferrule over the braided wire of the coaxial cable. FERRULE 2

3 K 0 FERRULE 9: Insert the coaxial cable into the coaxial connector until the wires of the center conductor are visible through the M3 set screw hole. NOTE: Ensure that the split in the ferrule is aligned 90 from the M4 set screw (see inset). L.5MM ALLEN WRENCH : Use the provided.5mm Allen wrench to replace and securely tighten the M3 set screw. M3 SET M 2 2MM ALLEN WRENCH M4 SET 2: Use the provided 2mm Allen wrench to securely tighten the M4 set screw until it squeezes the wire ferrule tightly to the coaxial cable. N 3 3: Replace the coaxial connector cover and tighten into place. 3

4 O 8 7 POWER 6 5 POWER NOTE: All 20VAC circuits MUST be the same phase. 4: Make sure the mounting plate is grounded in accordance with local electrical codes. 5: Connect the white transformer wire from one 20 VAC circuit to the neutral power wire of the desired power supply with a 6: Connect the black transformer wire from the same 20 VAC circuit to the hot power wire of the desired power supply with a 7: Connect the red +24VDC power wire from the power supply to the red wire of a coaxial power connector using a 8: Connect the black -24VDC power wire from the power supply to the black wire of a coaxial power connector using a wire 9: Repeat all power connections for second power supply and coaxial power connector. P AC POWER FOR MODELS CONFIGURED WITH FAST JACK PORT: 20: Connect the white transformer wire from one 20 VAC circuit to the neutral power wire of the AC power supply with a 2: Connect the black transformer wire from the same 20 VAC circuit to the hot power wire of the AC power supply with a wire 22: Connect each red 2VAC power wire from the power supply to one of the red wires of the Fast Jack connector using a wire 4

5 Q : Place all the wires and wire nut connections inside the canopy. 24: Align and secure the canopy to the mounting plate by tightening the six Phillips head screws. #8-32 R 25 CORD GRIP 25: To make any adjustments to the fixture height, push the tabs on the cord grip to slide the fixture up and down until the desired height is achieved. Release the tab to lock the coaxial cable in place. 5
