4 High Flow In-Head Valve The High Flow In-Head Valve allows the maximum auxiliary flow from the log loader so operators can perform multiple functions without a loss in speed. Industry proven Danfoss on/off coils are used to control the IHV. Higher allowable working pressure optimizes the machine s available hydraulic pressure. Valve is mounted on an H-frame plate along with rubber isolator mounts to reduce vibration. Optional rotate float function is available for applications which require free rotation of the grapple Long Life Drive Frame Structure Lug geometry is optimized for DHSP log loader and accommodates penciling either at full reach or underneath the boom and stick. QT-100 steel is used liberally throughout the drive and pivot frames to resist stress cracking and provide a long life expectancy. Heavy duty motor guards protect the motors and also protect the jump hose bulkheads. Optional lugging is available for customers using a Brandt Manual or Hydraulic Quick Coupler. Reliable Pivot Frame Structure An industry proven rotate bearing provides worry free operation. Rugged weld on stationary outriggers protect pivot frame from damage IHCP jaw and cylinder pins along with case hardened bushings provide long life and reduced friction. Easy to Service and Maintain Centralized grease bank for internal grease points means no cover removal for daily greasing. Large access holes are fully protected with covers and are easily removed with two bolts. Split top access cover allows for easy removal and installation by one person. Robust pin keeper system keeps pins in place and provides easy visual inspection. The terminal strip is conveniently located and fully protected. Rotating swivel can easily be removed from bottom of pivot frame without removing the In-Head Valve when service is required. Durable Jaws Jaws close to a tight 5 envelope allowing for precise log placement when handling individual stems. Near vertical jaw orientation when fully opened for superior pile penetration. Cast tips are made of a high strength, abrasive resistant steel and have a blunt round nose to protect the wood from handling damage. Box style construction featuring QT-100 steel provides maximum strength to weight ratio and long life. Available in 6, 8, 10, and 12 sq ft configurations to best suit the size of log loader and application. Optional Mechanical Timing Link jaws for operators wanting unmatched precision. Dependable Hydraulics Hydraulic system includes cross over relief protection. Drive system uses high torque Eaton Char-Lynn VIS motors in 38.6 or 60.5 cubic inch configurations. Armored jaw cylinder hoses with optimal routing minimize hose rubbing and movement. Hi pressure jaw cylinders come with heavy duty cylinder guards. Drive system utilizes sealed, flushed and hardened spline adapters along with massive pinion and rotation bearing gears for long life expectancy. Optional proportional control system provides 2-speed rotate.
