1 4 EXTERIOR FRONT BUMPER DISASSEMBLY 1. REMOVE HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL (a) Using a clip remover, detach the 8 clips and remove the panel seal. 2. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (a) Using a clip remover, remover the 2 clips and reinforcement from the bumper cover. 3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER 4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER 5. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER LH (a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the cover. Tape the screwdriver tip before use. 6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER RH Use the same procedures described for the LH side. B084360E01 B084360E01 REASSEMBLY 1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER LH (a) Attach the 3 claws to install the cover. 2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER GUARD COVER RH Use the same procedures described for the LH side. 3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER 4. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE LOWER 5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (a) Install the reinforcement to the bumper cover with the 2 clips. 6. INSTALL HOOD TO FRONT END PANEL SEAL (a) Attach the 8 clips to install the panel seal.
2 EXTERIOR FRONT BUMPER 5 Protective Tape B084361E01 INSTALLATION A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (see page SS-2). 1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH (a) Attach the 2 clips to install the side support. (b) Install the screw and bolt. Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf) for screw 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) for bolt 2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH (a) (b) Attach the 2 clips to install the side support. Install the screw and bolt. Torque: 6.0 N*m (61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf) for screw 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) for bolt 3. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT (a) Install the reinforcement with the 6 nuts. 4. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER 5. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER (a) (b) Put protective tape under the front fender. Attach the 6 claws labeled A and 2 claws to install the bumper cover. 8 EXTERIOR NAME PLATE 11 REMOVAL NOTICE: Do not heat the vehicle body, emblem and name plate excessively. When removing the emblem and name plate, heat the vehicle body, emblem and name plate using a heat light. Standard heating temperature Item Vehicle Body Name Plate Temperature 40 to 60 C (104 to 140 F) 20 to 30 C (68 to 86 F) Protective Tape B114879E01 1. REMOVE NO. 5 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (a) Put protective tape around the name plate. (b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and name plate. (c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends. (d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the name plate to the vehicle body. NOTICE: If reusing the name plate, take care not to damage the name plate. Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
9 12 EXTERIOR NAME PLATE INSTALLATION NOTICE: Do not heat the vehicle body, emblem and name plate excessively. When installing the emblem and name plate, heat the vehicle body, emblem and name plate using a heat light. Standard heating temperature Item Vehicle Body Name Plate Temperature 40 to 60 C (104 to 140 F) 20 to 30 C (68 to 86 F) 1. INSTALL NO. 5 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (a) Clean the vehicle body surface. (1) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface. (2) Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body. (3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner. (b) If reusing the name plate: Clean the name plate. (1) Using a heat light, heat the name plate. (2) Remove the double-sided tape from the name plate. (3) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner. (4) Apply new double-sided tape to the emblem. (c) Install the name plate. (1) Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and name plate. (2) Remove the peeling paper from the face of the name plate. After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter. (3) Install the name plate. NOTICE: Install the name plate exactly according to the specifications below.

Before removing the moulding, fully open the door glass. 1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACK GARNISH LH (See page ED-8) 2. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH (See page ED-8) 3. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER LH (See page ED-8) 4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB- ASSEMBLY LH (See page ED-9) 5. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH (See page MI-8) 6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH (a) (b) Put protective tape under the moulding. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding as shown in the illustration. Tape the remover tip before use. NOTICE: Be careful when removing the moulding as there are clips attached to the front and rear ends of the moulding. Protective Tape B083384E01
