2 HANDLEBAR/SEAT POST HORIZONTAL SLIDER MOVES WHILE CLOSED Note: The instructions below are for the original handlebar/seat post horizontal flip lever. An upgraded lock lever is available. The video "IC5/IC7 Horizontal Seat Adjustment Lever Replacement" on the Matrix Fitness YouTube Channel (playlist: Service Videos) shows how to install the improved lever. Top slider does not remain in set position Adjust the flip lever using a 25 torx Open and close the lever a few times to see if the slider moves freely while lever is open Horizontal slider remains in position while lever is closed and freely moving while lever opened? 3 HANDLEBAR STEM WOBBLES / TWIST Handlebar stem wobbles / twist Adjust the handlebar stem flip lever using a round head allen key 2.5mm* Open and close Flip lever a couple and check freely sliding of the HB stem and twist of HB stem Twisting reduced Repeat adjustment process *Note: The "Matrix IC7 - Vertical Handlebar Adjustment" video on the Matrix Fitness YouTube Channel (playlist: Service Videos) shows how to adjust the lever. 4 UNUSUAL ISE Noise appears during use of the bike Check toestrap lock facing outside the pedal Clicking noise Categorize noise Grinding noise (below 50 RPM) Remove right shroud and check no cables touching flywheel and place right if necessary Squeeking noise at low RPM < 20 Remove right shroud. Check belt tension and adjust if necessary* Check pedal torque value (45Nm) Noise appearance at? generator Replace generator Art No: Flywheel hub bearings Remove left shroud and replace flywheel bearings BB bearings idler pulley primary drive Replace idler pulley Art No: Check crank mounting bolts torque value (60 Nm) Check cog timing belt (see photo) alignment / tracking (shall not engage pulley wall) and apply a little lithium grease to pulley wall Replace ball bearings Art No: Cog timing belt *See the service bulletin "Belt Tensioning". 5 SLACK IN DRIVE GEAR Slack in drive gear Slack in drive gear recognized while rocking on horizontal pedals Remove right shroud and check/ adjust belt tension* Slack still occurs Replace primary belt Art No: Primary belt (also called generator belt) *See the service bulletin "Belt Tensioning". 6 SEAT POST DOES T MOVE VERTICAL WHEN LEVER IS OPEN Seat post does not move vertical when lever is open Remove gas damper bracket cover on the bottom of the main frame using a 3.0mm allen key Gas damper bracket cover Check bowden cable fitment on ferrale Bowden cable While vertical adjustment lever is closed the engagement lever located at the gas damper mounting head should provide a slight play Engagement lever Ferrale adjustment bolt Turn ferrale counterclockwise Open vertical adjustment to test whether seat post easily extends and compresses Extending and compressing easily? 7 SEAT POST DOES T MAINTAIN VERTICAL POSITION DURING EXERCISE (SINKS IN WHEN LEVER CLOSED) Seat post does not maintain vertical postion during exercise (sinks in when lever closed) Remove damper bracket on the bottom of the main frame using a 3.0mm allen key Gas damper bracket cover Check bowden cable fitment on ferrale Perform loadtest: extend saddle, mark tube, apply load on seat post to see whether seat post sinks Bowden cable While vertical adjustment flip lever is closed, the engagement lever located at the gas damper mounting head should provide a slight play Engagement lever Ferrale adjustment bolt Turn ferrale clockwise Open vertical adjustment to test whether seat post easily extends and compresses Extending and compressing easily?
