3 19.3 specification light distributions The luminaire shall consist of a high pressure die-cast aluminium body housing all integral control gear to suit a wide choice of high intensity discharge or compact fluorescent lamps. The luminaire housing shall provide suitable cable entry by gland or conduit, with two reinforced drill-out points for alternative fixing. A resilient gasket pad shall be fixed to the rear of the body to ensure an IP rating of 659 is maintained. The optical assembly shall consist of a mild steel painted reflector and a choice of polycarbonate UV stabilised refractors arranged to produce either a square or asymmetric light distribution. The refractor shall be secured with four captive fixing screws to the reflector, sealing the interface between the two by means of the gasket outer face. The luminaire is suitable for wall or pole mount and complies with EN60598, with a choice of options and accessories.
