3 iglidur Clip Bearing iglidur clip bearing are deigned pecifically for putting haft through heet metal. For thi reaon, the bearing have flange located on both end. The bearing are ecured in the heet metal plate on both ide after fitting. The clip bearing have an angled lot which allow the bearing to be fitted from one ide. After fitting, the bearing expand and form a lining for the bore in the metal plate. The haft prevent the clip bearing from fall ing out the houing. Even during linear movement, the bearing cannot lide out of the houing. In addition, the lateral lot can compenate for bearing expanion due to temperature or moiture. During expanion, the lot width decreae, and change to the bearing clearance are minimized. The flange diameter on the maller ide i made in uch a way that houing with larger tolerance till provide ufficient ecurity. 4 Surface Speed Clip bearing are extremely wear reitant in low rotating, ocillating, and linear movement. The maximum urface peed for the different movement are the ame a for the material M250 (Table 31.1). With lubrication the permiible peed can be increaed. Operating Temperature For operating temperature up to 80 C iglidur clip bearing diplay high wear re - itance. Even in the cold, the plain bearing remain elatic and reitant to wear. Intallation For intallation, the plain bearing are pre ed together on the ide with the large flange. The angled lot make the bearing piral haped o that it can be placed eaily into the metal plate. The lot alo compenate for expanion of the circumference. In thi way, a tight clearance i poible with the clip bearing. The recommended clearance allow a nominal ize haft to turn eaily. The clip bear - ing hould be fitted into a houing with a H cla tolerance, up to H13. The clip bearing can alo rotate within the houing bore.
