1 Series AHV Page 1/6 The lifting devices are intended for the maintenance of filters with blind fange filter lids. They are required, if on the site of the filter no other hoisting devices are available to lift of the filter s lid. When using the lifting device, it is highly recommended to follow the manual and maintenance instructions of the corresponding filter. This means especially, that prior to loosening the fixing screws of the filter s lid it is to be checked that there is no pressure on the filter and that pressure cannot build up. When checking the pressure relief, open the sealing screw on the lid prior to loosening and removing the fixing screws. After all safety measure are taken, this procedure is to be followed: - Removal of the fixing screws of the filter s lid (Connection of the lid and the housing flange) - Turning the toggle nut clockwise until the filter s lid is lifted at least 1.18 inch from the housing flange - Swaying the filter s lid around the axis of the lifting arm, until the lid is entirely removed from above the housing. - Maintenance of the filter according to the corresponding requirements - Swaying the filters lid around the axis of the lifting arm until the lid is placed in the center above the housing flange. - Turning the toggle nut counter clockwise until the filter s lid is lowered to the housing flange and until the disc between toggle nut and lifting arm is lifted at least.07 inch by the toggle nut. When lowering the filter s lid, it has to be ensured that the hole pattern of the flanges of lid and housing match. Also ensure the position of the breather bore hole. - Inserting and tightening the fixing screws according to the corresponding filter s manual and maintenance instructions All further procedures for maintaining filters are performed according to the corresponding filter s manual and maintenance instructions. Order identification The identification for ordering the device is effective without specific indications of angle positions in plain text, for example Lid lifting device. Ordering example: Filter DSF with lid lifting device The specific design corresponds to preferred angle position from the valid data sheet 1661, pages 1-6. In case other angle positions are requested, the order can be made according the the codes from data sheet 1661, pages 1-6. If that is the case, also the outside-pipe diameter, the pressure stage and the type of filter (In-Line filter/twin filter) have to be chosen. For example, a duplex filter with a pipe diameter of 20.00, pressure stage of 300 PSI (16 bars), material of c-steel (standard) filter 1 and 2, turning point of the lifting arm axis opposite to IN on the filters housing, meaning 180.
