1 0540 DIAGNOSTICS ELECTONIC CONTOLLED AUTOMATIC TANSAXLE [ECT] (A46E) DTC P780 PAK/NEUTAL POSITION SITCH MALFUNCTION 057XT0 PAK/NEUTAL POSITION SITCH CICUIT CICUIT DESCIPTION The park/neutral position switch detects the shift lever position and sends the signals to the ECM. The ECM receives the signals (NS,, and L) from the park/neutral position switch when the signal is not sent to the ECM from the park/neutral position switch, the ECM judges that the shift lever is in the D position. DTC No. DTC Detecting Condition Trouble Area or more switches are ON simultaneously for N,, or L position. (trip detection logic) P780 hen driving under the conditions (a), (b) and (c) for 30 seconds or more, the park/neutral position switch is ON (N position). (trip detection logic) (a) Vehicle speed: 80 km/h (50 mph) or more (b) Engine speed:,500 5,000 rpm (c) Manifold absolute pressure: 300 mmhg or more ire harness Park/neutral position switch assy ECM 60
