(Armature Total Stroke and Armature Stroke share almost same measuring steps, the only difference is Armature Stroke measuring need valve ball and valve seat mounted, but Armature Total Stroke don t need this step.) 3Residual Air Gap(Standard value:45-55um) Residual air gap measure takes two steps,choose No. 3 and adjust it to zero by zero adjuster. 1. Put reset No. 3 into magnet valve, measure the distance between inner plane and outer plane. Repeat several times to get the accurate data, we record the data as : A 2. Put reset No. 3 into fuel injector, measure the distance between armature plate and residual air gap shim. Repeat several times to get accurate data, we record the data as : B Two data doing subtraction(a minus B) is : Residual Air Gap 4Injector nozzle needle lift(standard value um differnent model, different data) Fix injector to vise, remove the pressure cap fuel nozzle 2

5 1.4.2 CRIN2(BOSCH120series V2 fuel injector) 1 Armarture lift shim( ) 2 Pass lift adjust shim( mm) 3 Injector nozzle needle valve lift adjust shim ( mm) 4 Injector nozzle needle valve spring ( mm) 5 Magnet valve spring adjust shim( mm) 1Pass lift(standard value:35-50um) Fix injector to vise and remove the magnet valve, take out each part in order.(loosen magnet valve in the right direction to make sure proper installation, remove the the magnet valve gently for internal parts not dropping off, and injector nozzle(all other parts such as dowel pin, are user also can remove normal magnet valve s plastic left on injector except the injector fuel head). Next, adjust separator, plug screw, sealing steel ball to assemble a No. 1 to zero by zero adjuster, direct dowel replacement magnet valve. Because V2 injector has very pin hole to the dowel pin on fuel injector, make measuring small error, so it won t influence data s accuracy.) tool s end plane totally closed to injector s end Pass lift measuring has two steps: plane(during this step, user must avoid measurement end 1. After above step, the data shown on scale is: Armature Lift 3Residual Air Gap(Standard value:45-55um) Magnet valve s inner surface is higher than outer surface, the higher part is residual air gap,(residual air gap is only for inspection, not for adjustment. Becasue it has already been well made after manufacture producing.) Choose No.2 measurement, keep it closely to the magnet valve end palne, then the data shown on scale is : Residual Air Gap. 4 Injector nozzle needle valve lift ( Standard value: um different model, different data) Fix injector to the vise, remove injector nozzle pressure cap and injector nozzle(other parts such as dowel pin,all kept on injector ). Next, choose No.1 measurement and reset it to zero on adjuster, direct dowel pin hole to the dowel pin on injector, make s end plane totally closed to injector s end plane(during this step, user must avoid measurement end plane s edge scratch injector end plane. If not, there may happen leakage caused by sealing plane damages ) The data shown on scale now is : Injector Nozzle Needle Valve Lift. During above four kinds lift measuring, if data didn t 3

Put adjusted No. 3 into magnet valve, measure the distance between inner plane and outer plane. Repeat several times to get the accurate data, we record the data as : A 2. Put adjusted No. 3 into injector, measure the distance between armature plate and residual gap shim. Repeat several times to get accurate data, we record the data as : B Two data doing subtraction(a minus B) is : Residual Air Gap 四 Injector nozzle needle valve stroke(standard value : um) Since 110 series fuel injector has no needle valve adjust shim, we use No.1 measurement only for inspecting needle valve lift data(measuring way is same with 120 series injector s, if get huge diviation, then user need change some other valve component tool with less diviation). To be fairly aware of the repair process, User can measure before resolving when repairing decomposition injector(here the injector is new or not mended before.) During above four kinds lift measuring, if data didn t reach standard value, user can adjust lift shims thickness to make it: magnet spring adjust shim and injector nozzle valve adjust shim, their thickness can be adjusted according to oil volume which measured by testing table to reach standard value. 二 Armarture Stroke(Standard value:45-55um) 4
