2 Introduction Certus PVC-U Compact Soil System The Certus PVC-U Compact Soil system enables space saving and flexible installations for efficient removal of waste water. Reduced installed dimensions minimise duct space required, providing the ideal solution for multi-occupancy and flat developments, where space is a premium. Features and enefits Space Saving l Compact Soil units allow greater design flexibility with tighter connections to 32, 40 and 50mm waste pipework. l The reduced dimensions help minimise the duct space required. 4 Introducing new Recycore Soil Pipe Same Performance Same Quality etter Environment Recycore Technology is Wavin s new and innovative technology to reduce the use of virgin materials in its products. It has been developed to help the construction industry achieve a lower carbon footprint and improve its sustainability credentials. Recycore Technology uses as much recycled material as possible whilst ensuring that products have at least the same proven performance characteristics as the virgin products that they replace. Recycore Technology products are tested to industry standards and, where applicable, will be third-party approved, e.g. Kitemarked. Therefore, Recycore Technology acts as a quality assurance mark for both high quality and sustainable products. Wavin has applied Recycore Technology to its new multi-layer, solid-core pipes, made with over 50% recycled content. Why Recycore Technology? There is growing demand from the construction industry for greener products that can be more easily recycled or that are made from recycled materials; or, better still, a combination of the two. WRP, DEFR and the Environment gency are all on record saying that they would like to see greater levels of plastics recycling in the UK. It is not just government and legislative demand that is pushing change either. Wavin s research has revealed widespread market demand for construction products that are more environmentally friendly.
