1 ****PACE - PLAN FOR ACCELERATED COLLEGE EDUCATION**** PACE is a delivery system for working people, providing a schedule of classes that expedites time to degree and transfer. There are two 8-week PACE sessions within a semester. To benefit from the accelerated schedule, students are encouraged to take two PACE classes per 8-week session; however, students may take only one class. All PACE Classes Include: 8 weeks of instruction 1 weeknight meeting on a Tues., Wed., or Thurs. 4 Saturday Conferences (see dates and exceptions below) Internet instruction through Canvas Exception: A few all-online Internet classes are offered through PACE. These 8-week classes have no in-person meetings. PACE SCHEDULING Classes scheduled from 5:45 7:50 p.m. on a weeknight will also meet on four Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Classes scheduled from 7:55 10:00 pm. on a weeknight will also meet on four Saturday afternoons from 1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. Classes that meet every Saturday of each 8-week session are: Biology 003 and 005; Economics 001; and Statistics 001. Because of Saturday time conflicts, students enrolling in Biology 003 and 005 may not take a second PACE class concurrently unless it is an all-online Internet class. SATURDAY CONFERENCE DATES First 8-Week Session: Sept. 9, Sept. 23, Oct. 7, Oct. 21 Second 8-Week Session: Nov. 4, Nov. 18, Dec. 2, Dec. 16 Saturday Conferences are a continuation of the instruction provided during the week-night class meetings, and attendance is mandatory for each scheduled Saturday. Final examination is administered during the last conference of each 8-week session. General PACE information can be found at Search PACE classes by subject using the Student Information System class search tool or see all PACE classes by selecting from Class Search Type. In this Schedule of Classes, PACE classes are shown by subject, and a list of all PACE classes follows this page.
