1 Articulation Course Guide and High School Teacher Requirements This document outlines courses approved by FV for high school articulation consideration along with teacher qualification and certification requirements and terms of engagement. Courses are fundamental and introductory in nature and are selected by each department as appropriate for articulation purposes. Teacher qualifications and terms of engagement are determined course by course by FV faculty specific to meeting instructional area requirements. Teacher certification is defined by the Wisconsin Technical College System Board and is based on the secondary teacher s current license from the department of public instruction. As of the academic year, all teachers offering a Transcripted Credit course will be required to attend the summer summit offered by their FV program area. WS And Completion Certified ServSafe Instructors must provide documentation of a current certification as a ServSafe Instructor with a minimum 90% test score by the National Restaurant Association Solutions OR A 90% test score on the exam used to obtain a Certified Prof. Food Manager license granted by the National Restaurant Association Solutions accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The renewal of this certification must be done every 5 years by taking the Instructor version of the ServSafe exam and obtaining a minimum score of 90%. This exam is offered either through one of the technical colleges or the Wisconsin Restaurant Association Page 4 of 11

Attend FV Collision Repair Advisory Committee meetings. Have and maintain similar or equivalent FV equipment and tooling to be confirmed by on-site visit. Prefer 18 graduate credits e.g. To teach sociology, the HS teacher must have earned at least 18 credits in sociology. e.g. To teacher economics, the HS teacher must have earned at least 18 credits in economics. For Math classes the HS teacher must have 20 credits in math including 8 credits of calculus. Prefer 18 graduate credits For transcripted credit HS teachers must complete FV and submit transcripts Sociology, Intro For Science classes the HS teacher will have 18 graduate credits in the discipline being taught. Communication reminders and confirmations will be initiated and processed by the Office of K-12 Partnerships. For all disciplines, the HS teacher is expected to attend the October Articulation Workshop at FV and additional meetings as agreed upon in individual agreements.
