Lamb Steele Park behind city hall is a popular gathering place in the community, most notably, hosting summer concert series. A finely-built gazebo anchors the park. The Lamb Steele Park is within walking distance of downtown and conveniently located next to the Alvin Norlin Memorial Pool. Lions Park Sports enthusiasts can get in some playing time at Lions Park. Located at Blacks Corners and Attica Roads. The nine-acre parcel features a baseball diamond, two sand courts for volleyball and a soccer field. As for picnic offerings, Lions Park has a spacious covered pavilion and several grills. Old School Park At Fifth and Bancroft streets, is an ideal place for active kids. The park, features a variety of playground equipment for youngsters, swings, slides and more. 7
8 Rotary Park on E. First Street, is taking on new life as a peaceful spot of ground. Formerly home to tennis and basketball court, the city recently installed playground equipment and a new gazebo. The park is near busi nesses and homes. Veterans Park Offers users a mulched walking path, park benches and kid-friendly playscapes. The park is located between Cheney and Titus streets, near Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Alvin Norlin Memorial Pool Found next to the water tower, is open each year from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Swimming lessons for all ages are offered, open swim hours are offered every day and the pool is available to rent for special occasions or group functions. Call 724-POOL (7665) for more Information.
