The Arteco range of ceiling products offer both high levels of acoustic performance and high value ceiling solutions that appeal to all sectors of the market. The comprehensive range includes ceiling tiles, planks and boards and means that, however onerous the level of acoustic performance required, British Gypsum will have the solution to suit every situation. 5 performance is achieved through a combination of the perforated area of the product, the special acoustic tissue backing and the air space between the suspended ceiling and the structural soffit. All products have been tested to BS EN 1419: 5 and ISO 354: The single figure rating practical sound absorption coefficient α w is calculated in accordance with EN ISO 11654: 1997, suffix letters indicate where performance is limited at either low, medium or high frequencies. The Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is calculated in accordance with ASTM C423-9a: Arteco ceiling products are capable of delivering levels of sound insulation suitable for virtually all environments. Where higher levels of sound attenuation are required, other design considerations can be adopted, such as extending partitions into the ceiling void or installing a plenum barrier. Figures quoted for sound insulation refer to room-to-room performance as tested to BS EN 1419: 5. Testing, substantiation and System s As with all British Gypsum products and systems, all performance claims made regarding Arteco ceiling products are fully backed by test-based substantiation. All tests are conducted at leading European test laboratories including the UKAS accredited Building Test Centre, at East Leake, near Nottingham. All products quote a System, this is a unique number we allocate to all products and systems that s all the latest substantiations we hold. By quoting these figures on enquiries about the product we are able to give you the most accurate and up-to-date advice and information.
