SkyMax Skylight Curb-Mounted Skylight Model GSM The dramatic SkyMax doubles the square footage of standard size flat glass unit skylights without loss of thermal efficiency at a fraction of the cost of structural skylights. SkyMax s one piece extruded vinyl curb incorporates a condensation channel, eliminating the need for weep holes. This, combined with high-end glazing options, maximizes its thermal performance. CUSTOM SIZES UP TO 32 SQ FT Single light up to 32 square feet TEN FEET at longest dimension. Sizes are based upon the outside dimension of the curb (ODC). For use with site-built curb and flashing. The vinyl frame is structurally reinforced with aluminum. The elimination of weep holes increases thermal performance. Quaker Bronze paint finish is standard. 5 Self-Flashed Skylights E-Class Skylights Deck-Mounted Skylights Models EF, EV, EVMS For use with thin roofing materials such as composition, slate, wood shingles and shakes up to ¾ " thick. Sizes are based on the rough opening in the roof (RO). No assembly, step-flashing, mastic, or sealants needed. Custom sizes and finish paint colors are available (see page 7). Manual blinds available for standard sizes. Blinds and telescopic pole sold separately. Model EV: Price includes screen, white crank handle and pole eye adapter. Model EVMS: Units include screen, factory installed solar rechargeable battery powered motor with rain sensor, and remote control that can control multiple units. VELUX offers the choice of laminated or tempered glass skylights. Impact glass and comfortplus glass are all types of laminated glass. Comfort glass is a type of tempered glass. Laminated glass is a combination of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayers of plastic (PVB) or resin. In case of breakage, the interlayer is designed to hold the fragments together. Tempered glass does not contain an interlayer to hold the fragments together. Instead, tempered glass is designed to break into small, pebble-like pieces. When tempered glass breaks, pieces of glass come loose and may strike an individual.
