2 Copper pan-flashed installation Thermo-lite: Copper pan-flashed skylight features The hatch (glazing and frame) Our welded aluminum outer frame (A) is powder coated and baked on for lasting beauty and protection. The welded PVC inner frame (B) with santoprene gasket (C) provides an efficient thermal break to insure a weathertight seal. Our standard glazing is tempered low-e Argon filled. Laminated low-e Argon filled is also available. Several hatch colors are available on request. Hatch replacement is available for retrofit of existing thermo-vu skylights or some competitive brands. The curb The standard thermo-lite curb (D) is 3 4 thick birch plywood that comes pre-finished in white. The curb can also be painted on-site to match any interior color scheme or left as is to eliminate any curb finishing work. Flashing system Prefabricated continuous copper flashing (E) is attached to the curb for quick installation. Roll formed from premium 24 gauge cold rolled copper. All seams are Pittsburgh locked and hand soldered for guaranteed watertightness. Flashing is used for shingle roofs from Glass options Choice of tempered low-e glass or laminated low-e glass. 3 Installation options The standard thermo-lite series of skylights has a drop-in curb (F) that extends below pre-attached flashing.
