9 What is a Truck Safety Inspection and Maintenance System? A plan of action supported by documented procedures to inspect and maintain trucks to at least the minimum safety standard required by law.

10 Legal Framework Article 173 of Federal Traffic Law 21, 1995 The vehicle must also be always in good condition for use including conditions of safety and strength stated in this regulation or any other legal order so that they will not endanger drivers, passengers or road users or not cause damage to roads, public or private possessions.

24 Records and Documentation Documented evidence of any inspections or maintenance should be kept for a minimum of 3 years Each vehicle should have its own file Keeping records makes it simple to monitor the reliability and cost of maintaining each vehicle
