1 Daimler Truck North America Dealers Merge MO FARMINGTON JACKSON SIKESTON CALVERT CITY POPLAR BLUFF FARMINGTON JONESBORO JACKSON TN ALBUQUERQUE WEST MEMPHIS MEMPHIS AR TUPELO NM GURDON WICHITA FALLS EL DORADO TEXARKANA ABILENE SHREVEPORT MS TX TYLER SAN ANGELO WACO TEMPLE BRYAN LA LA KY LTG/TAG Merger TNTX Daimler Truck North America Dealers Merge TAG Truck Centers and the Lonestar Truck Group announced that they will merge into a new company called TNTX effective January 1, TAG operates 10 Freightliner dealerships in Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and Kentucky. They have the Western Star franchise in Missouri and Kentucky. The Lonestar Truck Group operates 12 Freightliner and Western Star dealerships in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Arkansas and one parts-only location in Gurdon, AR. TNTX will represent in excess of $700 million in annual sales and employ approximately 1,000 employees in 23 locations making it one of the largest Daimler Truck North America dealers in the country. TNTX will adopt a new name in the future. In the interim, the companies will operate as TAG Truck Center, a division of TNTX and Lonestar Truck Group, a division of TNTX. This merger is unique in that there is no change in ownership and below the Executive level, no changes in reporting responsibilities, making the change angst free for employees and customers. The companies are both on the Procede Dealer Management System and have shared the same IT support team since 2007, so there are no changes to which the employees must adapt. Customers will see no difference in operating philosophies or policies as our ownership group was closely aligned and worked together for many years prior to this merger, said Gary Dodson, CEO of the new venture. Dan Stevens, COO of the Lonestar Truck Group commented, We believe this merger ensures that our employees will be able to continue to work for hands on impassioned owners who are immersed in the Elite Support and Continuous Improvement methodology for many years to come.
