8 LA PROVENCALE - The weakest link Once the truck leaves the warehouse, the quality of the cold chain lies in the sole hands of the driver. The passive temperature registration is hardly ever controlled and unfortunately only checked when it is too late, meaning after the occurrence of a problem.

9 LA PROVENCALE What can go wrong? The cooling equipment can be switched off or forgotten to be switched on. The temperature of the cooling equipment is not adapted to the needs of the products transported The cooling equipment is not working correctly The doors are opened too long The time lap between leaving the truck and the reception of the customer is to long

20 LA PROVENCALE Solution N 2 The second program the objective is to monitor in real time our fleet. Control the temperature in real time with a real-time warning system Control the GPS position and the route of the trucks with a real-time warning system Automatically unload the digital tachograph and the driver cards and control of the driving time and the working hours Connect the FMS and follow the fuel efficiency of the driver and follow the quality of his driving The idea of the project was born 5 years ago but the market did not offer a comprehensive solution.

21 LA PROVENCALE Solution N 2 The problems we encountered Find the right equipment which allows to connect and communicate with the : o GPS o Euroscan / Temperature & door opening o FMS of the truck o Tachograph & Driver Car Find a software which will filter the tsunami of information in such a way that it will help you instead of drowning you Finally we decided to develop the whole Profleet and chose APLICOM and their A1 MAX as a communicator device. We have equipped and are currently testing 20 trucks. The objective is to equip 80% of our fleet by the end of 2012 and 100% by the end of 2013.
