3 Conditions of Sale (Full conditions available from the Auctioneers) 1. Bidding The highest bidder shall be the buyer. Bidding shall be regulated by the auctioneer. The auctioneers reserve the right of rejecting any bid, bidding for, withdrawing, consolidating, dividing or altering the order of lots. A buyer shall not be allowed to retract his bidding. The auctioneers will not recognise the transfer of any lot from one buyer to another nor make any alteration in the sale book in respect thereof. 2. VAT Charged on all lots at the prevailing rate. 3. Buyers Premium 5% +VAT on the hammer price (reducing to 2.5% +VAT on the balance over 5,000 per lot) 4. Registration Anyone wishing to purchase must register for a buyer s number, available on viewing and sale days only. 6. Removal Each lot at the fall of the hammer shall be at the sole risk and expense of the buyer. All items shall be paid for immediately after the conclusion of the Sale and removed not later than 7 days following sale day or as soon as clearance has been given by the Auctioneers (in case of payment by cheque/bacs). However no lot shall become the property of the buyer, or be removed until paid for and if taken away in contravention of these conditions without an order for removal signed by the Auctioneers, he shall have power to seize the same or recover either the lots sold or the price thereof (at his option) by action at law. The Auctioneers reserve the right to refuse the removal of any lot until such time as full payment has cleared. 7. Parking Some parking available on site please adhere to signage and manned direction. 8. Collection Items may be collected within 7 days of the sale (but not before funds have cleared), by arrangement with the Auctioneers Please ensure you or your transporter has a copy of your sale invoice to hand. 9. Directions In Stickney village, turn east onto Horbling Lane off the A16 (signed Parrot Zoo); continue for approx. ½ mile, out of the speed limit and over the drain until reaching a crossroads, turn right down East Fen Lane and the sale site can be found after approx. ½ mile on the right hand side, set back one field from the road. The sale will be signposted on viewing and sale days. 10. Descriptions The Auctioneers are acting only as agents, and have no personal knowledge as to the correctness or otherwise of the description of the property offered for sale. Each lot is sold with all defects and errors of description, if any. The purchaser is deemed to have inspected any lots they buy. 11. Dispute The Auctioneers shall be the sole arbitrators in all matters of dispute relating to these conditions, and their decision shall be final and binding. 12. This auction is not required to comply with the requirements of the Members Accounts Regulations 1993 of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. No monies paid to the auction are covered by any scheme for the protection of client s money operated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
