The steerable front unit contains a 360-degree swiveling turntable that allows the rollers to rotate under the load, making pushing and pulling more precise. The rear dollies are kept aligned by an adjustable spreader bar, allowing them to track properly when moving. Placing the dollies in a 3-point configuration can stabilize the rollers and prevent them from slipping out, even under pulling and tugging forces. As the load is steered with the front unit, the rear dollies will follow, providing the user with a wide range of mobility. While the 3-point configuration is recommended as a safe load moving solution, additional modules can be added and reconfigured to further stabilize bulky loads. SPREADER BAR

6 MODIFICATIONS & CUSTOM SOLUTIONS The Hilman Tri-Glide can be modified in a number of ways to accommodate your specific application requirements. Custom turntables and special hole patterns, on the contact points, are just a couple of examples where users have made the Hilman Tri-Glide System a perfect fit. Hilman also manufactures completely custom Tri-Glide Solutions to meet specific performance requirements. Modifications and Custom Solutions are available in any capacity! Hilman developed a custom Tri-Glide Solution that included a reel handling cart for their specific need. The custom Tri-Glide Cart Assembly included a bar, across the top, which was designed to go through the reel, allowing it to stay in place. A hydraulic hand pump was then used to energize the cylinders, on either side of the cart upward, and lift the reel off the ground, for safe moving. The handle was also modified to be shorter in length for better maneuverability. The customer was able to successfully use this Hilman product as a safe, efficient 3 point load moving solution. 7 CONFIGURATIONS The Hilman Tri-Glide System is versatile in that the front and rear units can be combined and configured to become a 4 or more point skidding solution. Hilman Tri-Glide components can be purchased individually to accommodate user preference.
