4 Feraboli s history In the following decades, aware of the gradual change taking place in the agricultural sector, he actively devoted himself to the development technologically advanced new products so the production of equipment for livestock and irrigation systems began. He was succeeded by his son in 1911, Antonio: the company threshing had 1980 developed over the years, using 52 machines and also operating in the neighboring provinces of Brescia, Piacenza and Milan; even the staff had grown rapidly to 20 full-time workers, during the high season 120 seasonal workers were employed. The production was constantly expanded and articulated. With the completion in 1923 of a 1964 prototype drum mulcher for silage, called the l italiana, the Feraboli won the gold medal at the Agricultural Fair in Verona, actively contributing to technological innovation in the agricultural world. In 1924 the business was moved to new premises in Via Bredina, always in Cremona, where the available area was 20,000 square meters. In those years machines were produced in series, and others destined to specific agricultural processing It was in 1880 when, in Cremona, Luigi Feraboli, driven by a strong passion for mechanics and spirit of enterprise, imported in Italy, the first threshing machine. Soon production began, allocating some versions for sale and others to the threshing company. On the eve of World War II Feraboli Louis, succeeded his father Antonio, provided further stimulus for producing more and more 1924 technologically advanced machines and for the first time in Italy realized fodder elevators. Right after the war the creation of furniture for stables ever more innovative and streamlined took place, thanks to the importation from Canada of milking machines; in the same period the production of La 1880 celere begins, a series of tractors which hauled tools with power from 6 to 11 Hp. In the 50 Feraboli produces important changes that contribute to further change the rural italian scenery: the first corn picker combined with a shredding of the stem and, in the field of animal husbandry, the first system for automatic transportation of manure. 4

5 Come the 60s, marked by the economic boom: the export quota stands higher and higher; 1963 Feraboli has great success in France and Germany with the corn pickers and manure transporters. In 1964 began the production of the first mower-mulcher-loader with corn tip with 1 or 2 rows, pick up and cutting bar: the Jolly series which gave the brand Feraboli notoriety throughout Europe. The following year the management of the company passed to the sons, Antonio and Mario Feraboli. The following period is characterized by continuous growth, made possible by the debut of increasingly innovative and technologically advanced cars and forage silage blowers for vertical silos loading, the two-row corn picker with picker for harvesting corn and finally, in 1974, power harrows. The company at this point employs well over two hundred workers and has an area of over 35,000 square meters; exports are mainly concentrated in Europe and Japan. In 1980 we celebrate the first hundred years of activity, valuable source of accumulated experience, even in the most literal sense, in the field: a further incentive to continue in the direction of high technology in the service of agriculture. Exports have reached 70% of the production, necessitating additional investments aimed at strengthening and consolidating the sales network: good results are obtained in Asia and the South Pacific. Debut of the first balers, fixed chamber and variable chamber that led to the creation in 1996 of the Sprinter and its exclusive, patented Variable Geometry : the size and characteristics of the heart are determined by the user and done with a single machine. We arrived to date: Maschio Gaspardo acquires Feraboli establishing yet another partnership with a historic company and enlarging more and more its product range. We are confident that, with the MG sales force, this new chapter in our company will bring great results, today, tomorrow and in the years ahead -Antonio Feraboli- FERABOLI In 2014 joined the Group MASCHIO GASPARDO. In a few months the Cremona plant is enhanced with the introduction of new production lines, expansion and rationalization of space, a more efficient warehouse for spare parts management, a new workshop for the repair and maintenance of machinery. 5

10 Fixed chamber BOTTOM OPENING Operated by the driver without the need to get out of the tractor, promotes continuous work flow. Widening the feeding channel and letting excess product flow out, will allow to resume work progress after clogging. Collecting device A special product conveying plate equipped with a compression roller maximizes efficiency limiting clogging. Every roller is characterized by a special profile which guarantees greater traction in any work condition or product. The end motor is equipped with a 50 mm diameter drive shaft. A protective labyrinth avoids product accumulation coming in direct contact with the ball-bearings. The chamber formation transmission is guaranteed by a 1¼ chain. 12 Variable chamber COMPRESSION METHODS Constant pressure from the core to the cortex: the value can be easily set thanks to the control unit in the cab. Soft core: selectable diameter from 0 to 120 cm. 14 Variable chamber and geometry FEEDING SYSTEMS HT: alternative feeder. Ideal for dried hay chopped short or to collect delicate short forge without damaging the product. HTR: rotary feeder. Characterized by high rotating capacity, the rotor feeds the chamber constantly and quickly allowing to maintain high driving speeds and big quantities of hay a straw. The rotor with spikes arranged with a double spiral uniformly distributes product in the chamber. HTC: rotary feeder cut. Cutting is done by activating the knives which cut the collected forage 77 mm in length. HUT: rotary feeder ultracut. The large number of knives allows to cut hay 45 mm in length. HT HTR HTC HTU 14

The settings physically modify the dimensions (geometry) of the formation chamber and soft core: only in this way the product is introduced and accumulated randomly, unlike what happens in traditional variable chambers where the user can only reduce internal pressure close to zero. 16 Combined with wrapper MESH Best quality materials, the most advanced extrusion technology and UV treatment, weaving and packaging permit the Feraboli mesh to reach maximum efficiency in any condition, also guaranteeing high break resistance (>280 kg). BALE TRONIC Bale tronic allows to regulate string, mesh and plastic film wrapping. It can set and memorize up to 4 wrapping programs and its equipped with a sensor auto set function. The bale counter system foresees up to 5 memories. 16

18 Square baler Great performance, long life Every solution has been cured to give maximum reliability, a reduced need for maintenance and long operating life. A ventilation system keeps the wrapping mechanism clean to guarantee perfect results. Pick-up and mulcher Equipped with a helical rotor hay mulcher. Hydraulic adjustment pick-up system allows to thoroughly collect the product leaving no waste behind meanwhile the mulcher shreds the hay. The independent adjustment third rear wheel avoids the pick-up to collect soil in case of ground dipping. 18

20 Forage harvester Double position The double position system allows to work in side mode or reversible mode. The reversible mode is optimal when the combination is made with a tractor equipped with reversible driving or as a field path opener. Uniform pick-up The double chain transport system and the counterrotating blade execute a clean cut and transfer the plant to the rotor smoothly and efficiently. The big diameter toothed rotor performs the first step of plant mulching. 20

24 Sickle bars ANTI VIBRATION Kinematics with ant vibrating rods, which absorb all vibrations and irregular movements, extend the life of the rods and blades granting the high performances at low costs. Passive safety In case of accidental collisions an automatic safety system makes the cutting bar draw back without damaging the bar. 26 Mounted disc mowers ROTATING DICS Discs with 2 or 3 blades are available with the quick blade replacement system. In difficult conditions the 3 blade disc, which has higher cut frequency, always executes a clean and uniform cut. SAFETY The safety SDG system (safety drive gear) is present in every rotating disc. Thought and designed to safeguard the transmission and the cutting discs in case of accidental hits. It also allows for fast interventions on field. 26

30 Mounted drum mowers FRONT The frontal drum mowers can be equipped with a helical conditioner roller with self-cleaning box in oil bath with double safety spring. This safety spring avoids damages in case foreign objects are introduced involuntarily, like rocks or product clogging. STABILITÁ To better distribute the machine s weight we ve inserted a hydraulic circuit with a nitrogen accumulator, which acts as a hydraulic shock absorber and doesn t need to be mechanically regulated. The machine will automatically adapt to the terrain floating and the result will be a regular clean cut. 30

31 Regular cut TIZIANA The Tiziana H models with cutting length 2.40 and 2.70 m and 4 drums are born to respond to specific weight needs of medium-large machines and allow the cutting bar to perfectly adapt to the terrain regardless of the field conditions without having to regulate any mechanical device. Within the primary characteristics is the possibility to change from automatic mode to manual mode and vice versa without having to exit the preset program.
