1 Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment No. 7) Article 1 MOTOR VEHICLES (DRIVING LICENCES) (AMENDMENT No. 7) (JERSEY) ORDER 2007 Made 4th October 2007 Coming into force 11th October 2007 THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 8 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law , orders as follows 1 Article 11 substituted In the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Jersey) Order , for Article 11 there shall be substituted the following Article 11 Prescribed countries and domestic driving permits (1) A parochial authority may only issue a licence that is within a category of Jersey licences specified in column 2 of Schedule 5 to a person who produces to the parochial authority a domestic driving permit, if the permit is (a) (b) issued in a country, or a part of a country, specified in Column 1 of Schedule 5; and within a category of domestic driving permit specified in relation to that country, or that part of a country, in that column, and the person has satisfied any conditions specified in Column 2 in relation to the category of Jersey driving licence. (2) A licence shall not be granted in accordance with Article 8(1)(c) of the Law unless the domestic driving permit of the applicant is surrendered to the parochial authority for return by that authority to the issuing authority in the country, or part of the country, that issued the permit.. 2 Article 2 Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment No. 7) 2 Schedule 5 substituted In the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Jersey) Order 2003, for Schedule 5 there shall be substituted the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order. 3 Citation and commencement (1) This Order may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment No. 7).
