We ask you to fill out the winterization sheet attached as well as the spring commissioning sheet so we can schedule your services appropriately over the winter and help ensure your boat will be ready for pick up on your requested date in the spring of This packet replaces the spring mailing received in the winter, so please fill out all forms and return promptly. All services are scheduled on a first returned, first reserved basis. As always we recommended you call the Rex Service Department for advice and suggestions as to what maintenance items to check off based on the previous services completed on your vessel. 3 Rex Service Terms & Conditions For Winter Service My signature below indicates I have read and accept the Rex Policy Statements listed below Existing balances must be paid in full before Rex will decommission my boat. All winterization work orders must be submitted on or before October 15th. There is no extra charge for early decommissioning. I will inform the Service Department immediately when I am finished with my boat for the 2013 season. Fuel tanks must be filled to 80-percent capacity by owner prior to winter storage to prevent condensation in tanks and to preserve fuel quality. Please fill your fuel tank to 80% prior to arriving. For a $25.00 fee (plus fuel cost) and advance request, Rex will fill your gasoline fuel tank. (We do not have diesel fuel at our Water Street facility) Waste tanks must be emptied prior to winterization work. Pump out services are available at the Norwalk Cove Marina Fuel Dock or through appointment with the Sound Keeper at Soundkeeper does close early in the season. Waste tanks emptied by Rex incur a $ pumping charge. Rex will return INOPERATIVE engines and systems to serviceable condition in order to properly winterize them. The cost of these repairs are over and above winterization charges, thus such repairs will be billed at our posted time and material rates. If you know of any engine or system problems, please let us know now. Rex must have a set of keys available before scheduled work can begin. Please leave a key (or cabin combination) at the Service Office. A $25.00 charge will be added if keys are not supplied. Rack stored boats at our indoor facility will be covered with a tarp by our personnel. If you own a tarp, leave it in plain view in the cockpit for our crew. If a tarp is not in plain view, a new tarp will be charged to your work order. Summer Rack Service ends October 15 th. Boats that remain at Rex year round without a winterizing workorder in place by the end of Summer Rack storage will be winterized at Rex s discretion. Since winterizing is on a first come first serve basis your boat may not be winterized until after freezing weather has occurred. Your boat will receive freeze-protection only and will not receive important preventive maintenance and fall servicing or boat covering. Bracket mounted electronics should be removed by owner and taken to warm storage. Please charge your batteries fully. Rex has limited after-hours security. Rex is not responsible for loss of your personal items. Boats not contracted for Winter Storage at Rex must be removed within 3 days of completion to avoid daily storage charges. REMOVAL OF DRAIN PLUGS IN OUTSIDE LAND-STORED BOATS IS BOAT OWNER S RESPONSIBILITY. IT IS THE OWNER S RE- SPONSIBILITY TO REMOVE DRAIN PLUG UPON HAULING OF TRAILER BOATS AND INSTALLING THE PLUG IN THE SPRING WHEN LAUNCHING. I here by authorize the work to be done with necessary material and grant Rex Marine permission to operate the boat and its systems for the purpose of testing and inspection. Rex will winterize all systems unless the owner specifies in writing such systems are not to be winterized. The yard is not responsible for freeze damage, fire, or missing/damaged personal property. An express mechanics lien is hereby acknowledged on my boat and /or equipment to secure the amount of repairs thereto. My signature below indicates I have read all the above terms and conditions.
