Riser assemblies: Risers are nozzles sleeved in copper tubing 24 inch standard lengths which are buried into the ground similar to a fixed sprinkler head and can be used when there is no other structure available to secure your nozzles. 1

2 Planning your layout 2 Draw a map of your system design. A simple sketch will do drawing your perimeter fence and home. Draw s where you want to place nozzles and an M where you want to locate your machine (close to water and power). Typically you will only need 1/4" nylon tubing, 1/4 union tee fittings (to branch off to create new runs),tee nozzles & lbow nozzles (the last nozzle in the run), clamps and fasteners. You might need some union elbow fittings if you have very tight 90 degree angle turns to make and it's always smart to have a few 1/4" straight unions on hand just in case you need to make an extension or relocate an existing nozzle without having to run new tubing. It is recommended that no more than 100 nozzles be run over a 1000 foot of nozzle circuit using ¼ tubing. Manual valves can be implemented if there is an area where you will only want to spray periodically. Now you can figure out a parts list.

4 Machine location and requirements Machine dimensions: 18" wide 16" tall 10.25" deep with slotted key holes on 16" centers for easy installation. The machine is designed to mount on a wall. Take into consideration which directions you need to run your nozzles. The machine should be placed in close proximity to a power and water supply. The machines aluminum enclosure has air vents to maximize airflow. The temperature inside the machine during high temperature days will be no more than the actual temperature in the area where the machine is positioned. A 120 VAC standard 3 prong electrical plug outlet with additional capacity for 10 amps (start-up surge) and a standard outdoor faucet is required. 4
