1 MANUAL Road User Portal (RUP) - Order an On Board Unit (Free of charge from Belgium and neighbouring countries) Date version: 04 February 2016

2 Order an On Board Unit in the Satellic Road User Portal To order an On Board Unit, you need to complete the following steps first: Register an account. Please check: RUP Manual Account Registration for more information. Register a vehicle. Please check: RUP Manual Vehicle Registration for more information. Before ordering your OBU(s), you should decide how many OBUs you want to order, and how you want to pay the deposit. There are two possible ways (procedures) to order OBUs: Pay deposit with Credit Card, Debit Card or Fuel Card o Follow procedure Order one o In this case, the vehicle registration should be completed, and on board units are ordered one per one, and delivered one in a box. Pay the deposit with bank transfer o Follow procedure Order multiple o In this procedure you can also order just 1 OBU and pay per bank transfer o The number of OBUs ordered, will be packaged in one box If you want to order one or more OBUs that you want to pay per bank transfer, than please follow the procedure that starts on page 12 of this manual. Please note that, due to privacy reasons, not all the information is shown on the screens used in this manual. 2

3 PROCEDURE TO ORDER OBUs AND PAY DEPOSIT BY DEBIT CARD, FUEL CARD OR CREDIT CARD Step 1: Go to and select Road User Portal. Step 2: Select LOGIN. 3

4 Step 3: Select I M MANAGING and login with your Username and Password. Step 4: Select the circle OBUs and click ORDER AN OBU. 4

5 Step 5: Click ORDER ONE. Step 6: - If you already registered a vehicle, select a vehicle for which you would like to order an OBU, and click NEXT. - If you haven t registered a vehicle yet, click REGISTER A VEHICLE, and finish this step first. For more information about registering a vehicle, please check the RUP Manual Vehicle Registration. 5

6 Step 7: Click ANOTHER ADDRESS if you want to ship the OBU to another address than your account address. Fill in the required data and select NEXT. If you want to use your account address, just click NEXT. Step 8: After the shipment data are provided, you need to pay the deposit, but first you need to select a payment means to pay the toll. In the system you are asked how you will pay the toll and the deposit. There are two ways to pay the toll: Pre-paid (beforehand) and Post-paid (after you have driven on the Belgian road network). 8.1 pay toll via pre-paid (bank transfer, credit card or fuel card) Select PRE-PAID and click NEXT. 6

7 8.2 pay the toll via post-paid (credit card or fuel card) a. When you want to pay with Credit Card, select CREDIT CARD and click NEXT. If you want to pay with Fuel Card, go to step c. b. Follow the instructions on the secured payment provider page and pay the pre-authorisation amount of 45. This amount is blocked on the Credit Card and will not be withdrawn from your account. Please note that the language of this payment page can be different than your default language on the RUP. 7

8 c. When you want to pay with Fuel Card, select FUEL CARD and click NEXT. d. Follow the instructions on the secured page provided by AGES. Please note that the language of this payment page can be different than your default language on the RUP. 8

9 Step 9: Pay the deposit You can pay the OBU deposit with Credit Card, Debit Card or Fuel Card deposit payment with Credit Card a. Select CREDIT CARD and click NEXT. b. Follow the instructions on the secured payment provider page and pay the deposit of 135. Please note that the language of this payment page can be different than your default language on the RUP. 9

10 9.2 - deposit payment with Debit Card a. Select DEBIT CARD and click NEXT. b. Follow the instructions on the secured payment provider page and pay the deposit of 135. Please note that the language of this payment page can be different than your default language on the RUP. 10

11 9.3 - deposit payment with Fuel Card a. Select FUEL CARD and click NEXT. b. Follow the instructions on the secured page provided by AGES and pay the deposit of 135. Please note that the language of this payment page can be different than your default language on the RUP. 11

12 PROCEDURE TO ORDER OBUs AND PAY DEPOSIT BY BANK TRANSFER Order multiple On Board Units (range from 1 to 936) Step 1: Go to and select Road User Portal. Step 2: Select LOGIN. 12

13 Step 3: Select I M MANAGING and login with your Username and Password. Step 4: Select the circle OBUs and click ORDER AN OBU. 13

14 Step 5: Select ORDER MULTIPLE. Step 6: Enter the number of OBUs you want to order and click NEXT. Please note that Satellic needs to have received your payment by bank transfer before the order is shipped. 14

15 Step 7: Click ANOTHER ADDRESS if you want to ship the OBU to another address than your account address. Fill in the required data and choose your preferred shipment date. Select NEXT. If you want to use your account address, simply click NEXT. Please note that you need to pay the deposit of the OBUs at least 10 days in advance of your preferred shipment date. Step 8: Check the details of your order and click ORDER to confirm your data and to order your OBUs. 15
