Please ensure that the tag is well contrasted and easy to see on the screen. You can improve contrast and focus by varying the camera position and lighting. As soon as the tag has been identified, the next stage of the process is indicated. 2.2 Check without tag (EU driving licence) Ensure you have good lighting and avoid reflections. While the hologram on the back of your driving licence is being captured, the entire driving licence must be positioned inside the rectangle. Please place your driving licence on a monochrome surface for scanning purposes. Page 4

3. The driving licence check 3.1 Selecting the check procedure After registration, click on New check to get to the main menu. Click on Start new check to initiate the process.

If you have a red or grey paper driving licence, please select the option Driving licence with QR tag. 3.

You can then select a check procedure. If you have an EU card driving licence and have NOT yet been issued with a QR tag, please select EU driving licence. If you have a red or grey paper driving licence, please select the option Driving licence with QR tag. 3.2 Check procedure EU driving licence Self-check To carry out the self-check, place the driving licence inside the rectangle. As soon as the front has been scanned, you will be asked to turn the driving licence over so that the back is visible. Follow the instructions and take care to ensure that the driving licence is positioned inside the large rectangle. Now scan the hologram in two stages: the whole driving licence has to be permanently inside the rectangle while the hologram is optically scanned. First scan the traffic sign on the hologram by holding the end device so that the sign can be clearly identified. Once this scan has been successfully carried out you will asked to scan the character sequence on the hologram. Tilt your end device so that the character sequence can be clearly identified The character sequence is displayed to you in the information line.
