8 Full calibration and Zero Calibration(After cutting off the fuel sensor) The Calibration of fuel sensor usually includes full calibration and zero calibration.

Fuel level sensor will read different AD value in different fuel level, and then calculate the fuel level based on the reading AD value.

Calibration is affected by the fuel medium type and level height, but nothing to do with the volume. Therefore, you can also operate indoor.

If want be faster, you can choose electric motor saw to cut them all together. 8 Full calibration and Zero Calibration(After cutting off the fuel sensor) The Calibration of fuel sensor usually includes full calibration and zero calibration. That means to record the AD value when tank with full fuel and when tank is empty. Fuel level sensor will read different AD value in different fuel level, and then calculate the fuel level based on the reading AD value. NOTICE: After cutting fuel sensor, it have to redo the calibration. Calibration is affected by the fuel medium type and level height, but nothing to do with the volume. Therefore, you can also operate indoor. Calibration method includes: 1)via calibration box 2)via calibration software Surroundings: 1) live calibration 2) indoor calibration (make a container and fill with diesel to simulate the fuel tank.) Here we introduce how to calibrate by calibration box. Pls notice, you have to do the FULL CALIBRATION firstly and then Zero Calibration. And fuel sensor need powered before calibration. Attention: This fuel sensor have to do full calibration firstly, then zero calibration. OR ELSE, pls redo the calibration. 8

There are two interfaces in the front of the setting box, RS232 & RS485 port accordingly: Connect RS232 signal fuel sensor to RS232 port of setting box, at this moment, RS485 port will as a power

10 There are two interfaces in the front of the setting box, RS232 & RS485 port accordingly: Connect RS232 signal fuel sensor to RS232 port of setting box, at this moment, RS485 port will as a power supply when calibrating fuel sensor. Similarly, when RS485 signal fuel sensor connect to RS485 port of setting box, RS232 port will be used as a power supply. Pin definition corresponds to diagram of setting box. When RS232 or RS485 port as power supply, need to connect DC 12V rechargeable lithium battery at the other port of setting box (the rechargeable lithium battery can be purchased from the market), as following picture: Full calibration Full calibration steps: Attention: Wait for the red light of setting box normally on, it shows that the fuel level sensor and the setting box of normal communication, you can start calibration. Fill the full tank, then insert the fuel sensor Press Button for 3 seconds Indicator 3 will flash every 500msec After a period of seconds, indicator 3 will flash every 2 seconds if self-detect was finished Press Button to record current 11 value as full, indicator 3 will be off.

11 After full calibration, measure the output voltage of Vo wire (Blue), which should be 5V Empty Calibration Note: For this type of fuel sensor, It must be done full calibration firstly, and then empty calibration. Otherwise It s necessary to recalibrate fuel sensor again. Step: Plug out the fuel sensor and place it outside of the fuel tank, wait about 2 minutes then do the empty calibration after one minute Press button for 3 seconds Indicator 1 flashes every 500m Second. After a period of about 5 second, indicator 1 will flash every 2 seconds if self-detect was finished. Press Button to record current value as empty, then indicator 1 will be off. After empty calibration, measure the output voltage of Vo wire, which should be 0V. Tips:Press the Button Menu to exit and restart the calibration if wrong operation 9 Flange and fuel level sensor fixing 12

Calibrate fuel sensor before use, first full calibration then empty calibration. Ensure that the smooth level before full calibration and ensure that there is no liquid residue in sensor before empty calibration. 2.
