3 Pump for Sludge, Bilge and Sewage The design of the AGM pump enables impressive performance in combination with little space requirements and easy maintenance routines, making it suitable for some of the most demanding pump tasks. The AGM pump is designed to operate with impure and/or high viscosity liquids. That makes it your perfect solution for any pump job with sludge, bilge, sewage, waste water and similar. Main features: Self-priming up to 8 m vertical minutes of dry running allowed 38 mm spherical passage through the pump Reversible pumping direction Compact installation The AGM pump is very suitable for pump applications where self-priming pumps are required. The AGM pump can stand dry-running for up to 15 minutes. This is possible due to the special lobes, which helps to minimize friction and heat generation in the pump. agrometer@agrometer.dk

4 Service and Maintenance - the Easy Part The clever design allows for the pump to be fully serviced and reconditioned in situ, without disconnecting the pump from the pipes. The end cap is quickly and easily removed after the dismounting of just 8 Allen screws, and then all wear parts can be replaced within few minutes. This will keep downtime at an absolute minimum, because maintenance tasks are completed in the quickest way possible. Using the same pump type for several applications gives you signifacant savings, because your costs for spare parts will be reduced, as common wear parts are interchangeable between the 3 different pump sizes available. Standardized Repair Kits Apart from wear linings, all common wear parts are identical for the different pump sizes. This will significantly reduce your costs for spare parts, when you use the AGM pumps in multiple pump installations on a vessel. 5 Options AGM pumps can be customized for multiple applications. Material Selection Pistons Standard pistons are made of NBR (Nitrile-Butadiene Rubber), and are recommended for pump liquids with a temperature below 70º Celcius. For higher temperatures, the standard pistons can be replaced with heat resistant Viton pistons (max. 120º C). Wear Plates and Wear Linings In standard edition, wear plates and wear linings are made of hardened steel. Both items are also available in stainless steel and hard chromed. Stainless steel is particularly recommended for agressive liquids such as seawater. Hard chromed is available for particularly grinding liquids. Pressure Relief System All AGM pumps can be supplied with a pressure relief system that prevents serious pump damage or pipe burst, in case of a blocking on the pressure side of the pump. 1 If the back pressure reaches maximum level, a valve opens and allows the liquid to reverse. = normal fl ow = fl ow when pressure relief valve (1) is open. Heat Sensor The heat sensor automatically shuts down the pump, if the temperature inside the pump casing reaches a preset limit.
