5 You are right with our advice In many areas of daily life parts of plastics play an important role. With injection moulding economically directly usable mould parts can be produced in large quantities as well as in limited special series. Only if your injection moulding machines can run at full capacity and there is a maximum output an optimum and productive result can be achieved. For that our products offer you support lower costs, more reliability. The goal of our innovative and high quality Rivolta brand Products is to increase tool life, to accelerate cleaning and maintenance processes, to maintain values and to minimize downtimes and production rejects in all areas of plastic injection moulding. On the following pages we offer to you an extensive product portfolio to assume the tasks in the fields of protecting, cleaning, lubrication and release. The NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) is an independent organization which since already 1944 is concerned with the establishment of standards, the certification of products and the realization of examinations for the protection of food, water and consumer goods. More and more companies require a registration by the NSF also within the framework of certifications. Thus with a NSF-registered product you are on the safe side in that respect. This portfolio also offers products with NSF registration. Because also in the plastic injection moulding industry the legal hygiene requirements (DIN EN ISO & HACCP) rise and the demand to use lubricants and cleaners which are admitted for the incidental unavoidable contact with food, beverages, pharmaceuticals or feed. 4 5

6 01 Protect 01 Protect For the plastic injection moulding procedures the costs for the tool represent a considerable part of the necessary investments. The new production and the value retention of plastic injection moulding tools are cost-intensive. Therefore the protection of the tool is of great importance. Already a slight corrosion which occurs during production breaks, storage or transport, can damage the mould permanently. To avoid this we offer you special corrosion protection products which are easy to remove, which minimize your maintenance expenditure and increase the tool life. K.S.P. 305 Spray Is the ideal corrosion protection for all metal surfaces of plastic injection moulding tools, also for glossy engravings and complicated design. The waxlike corrosion protection film is easy to apply, does not creep into ejector- or slide valve gaps, has a long-lasting effect and can quickly be removed from the mould without additional cleaning effort. The mould can directly and easily be used without prior cleaning. Already after a few injections the corrosion protection is completely removed without any residues. You should use K.S.P. 305 during the storage of the mould after the maintenance or for longer production stoppages, e.g. during the weekend. Also available in a red pigmented version (K.S.P. 305 R). K.S.P. 312 Spray / 317 Are waxlike corrosion protection products which are easy to remove and which can be used in the periphery for the long-term conservation, such as e.g. for the long-term storage and transport, also under unfavourable storing and transport conditions (air or sea transport).

7 To protect the clamping platen we recommend: F.L.G. GT Spray Rivolta F.L.G. GT Spray is a fully synthetic and NSF-H1 registered spray-on grease. F.L.G. GT Spray inhibits the development of corrosion between the clamping platen and tool. It does not leave any resins and forms a stable, adhesive texture on moveable parts. It also protects against wear, friction and squeaky noises. W.A.P. W.A.P. is a light high performance grease paste on a metal soap-basis combined with highly effective white solid lubricants. W.A.P. excels in its high compressive strength, a very good adhesive power and its high water resistance. Excellent corrosion protection properties prevent effectively the seizing of the friction partners also in a corrosive atmosphere. W.A.P. is free from graphite and MoS2. 6 7

8 02 Clean 02 Clean Also for the field of cleaning Bremer & Leguil offers a broad spectrum of especially developed products. Starting from the removal of deposits and residues of plastics, outgassing and colour patches up to the degreasing of mechanical machine components our products meet all requirements and thus accelerate your processes. Beyond this we use ingredients which are in principle free of CMR substances (carcinogenic, mutagenic and repro-toxic) and thus increase industrial safety many times over. For the cleaning of tools and moulds we recommend: S.F.R. Spray S.N.C. 101 The high performance formula powerfully cleans moulds and tools. S.F.R. is the ideal mould cleaner when it comes to considering all aspects of industrial safety, environmental and health protection and at the same time to penetrating and removing a multitude of plastics without attacking the material of the mould. Is VOC-free. Infiltrates, penetrates and dissolves contaminations and residues at the same time. Biodegradable and are suitable to remove plastic residues from metallic surfaces of all kind. S.N.C. 101 is NSF-A1 certified. A.C.S. 3 Spray S.L.X. Rapid Spray Is a universal rapid cleaner and degreaser for the cleaning of most sensitive surfaces, such as glossy engravings, without any residues. Creates a base for follow-up processes like galvanizing and lacquering. Is a rapid cleaner with NSF-K1 & K2 registration to degrease metal surfaces for the parts production for the hygiene areas.

9 M.T.X. 60 forte B.S.E. Fast removal of greases, waxes, cracked oils and other tenacious residues. Can be applied in different cleaning procedures, such as e.g. immersion, rinsing, brushing or spraying by means of a spray can. For tenacious deposits e.g. at parting surfaces our cleaning pad can be used for the mechanical support. Ideal also as workshop cleaner e.g. used in a cleaning table. To clean off rust and limestone residues out of the cooling channels. For the internal surface cleaning we recommend: B.F.C. Spray B.W.R. 180 Universal foam cleaner with NSF-A1 registration. Because of its good material compatibility it carefully and effectively cleans windows, e.g. Makrolon. Ideal also for touch panels and screens. The cleaning concentrate for universal use with high cleaning power is suitable to dissolve and remove most different contaminations on surfaces of all kind. NSF-A1 registred and therefore The One for All. S.B.C. Spray Rivolta S.B.C. is a cleaner which evaporates very fast and without residues. It is perfectly suitable for a rapid and complete cleaning/degreasing of shiny metal and steel items. S.B.C. is NSF-A1 registered and based on a combination of highly effective substances which can remove different residues and contaminations each. Thus our product can be used for a multitude of diverse applications. 8 9

10 03 Lubricate 03Lubricate Complicated moulds, tool temperatures, aggressive condensates, used injected material and high speeds are core factors for the efficiency in the plastic injection moulding industry. Increased quality requirements are added to this. Conventional lubricants here often are overstrained, because the base oil viscosity is influenced by the temperature, the consistency changes, the lubricating grease liquefies and it runs off the lubricating point. This results in deficient lubrication and subsequently increased wear at the movable parts. Further results are increased evaporation rates of the used base oil and by that the drying out of the lubricant. Because of this solid residues form, which can be recognized as black and brown spots on the injection-moulded parts and which lead to rejection. You can counteract that with synthetic Rivolta Lubricants which are compatible even with sensitive sorts of plastic. Relubrication periods can be increased noticeably and a high continuity of quality can prevail. For the use at ejectors and core actuators we recommend: S.K.D This fully synthetic high performance grease can stand temperatures to approx C. With mould temperature of approximately +100 C it is perfectly suitable to lubricate the ejector pins. Low evaporation losses result in a stable lubricating film which protects against wear. By the application coked residues on the ejectors are minimized. The practical 100 g tube enables an optimal dosing which is always ready for use in the workshop as well as in the production. F.L.G. GT-2 Is a fully synthetic and NSF-H1 registered basic grease for tool temperatures up to approximately +80 C. Does not cause any resinifications and forms a stable, adhesive consistency on movable parts. Protects against wear, impeded running and squeaking noises. Practical dispenser for an easy application. Your maintenance expenditure is remarkably minimized.

11 S.K.D. 170 Spray F.L Is an adhesive lubricating oil. Extreme capillarity for the relubrication combines with excellent adhesive properties for the tool function. Best lubrication properties also for chains and joints at transport systems and periphery. A NSF-registered product alternative for S.K.D. 170 when produced plastic parts are used in hygiene sensitive areas. For the highest temperature use at ejectors and core actuators we offer: S.K.D This NSF-H1 registered high temperature grease is recommended for tool temperatures starting from approximately +80 C up to +260 C. It prevents the contamination export on the injection-moulded part and guarantees a good material compatibility for sensitive materials such as e.g. transparent materials (Polycarbonate - PC). S.K.D This NSF-H1 registered extreme temperature grease is recommended for tool temperatures starting from approximately +280 C / +300 C. 12 03 Schmieren For slide valves and gear tools we recommend following products: S.K.D Is a special adhesive lubricating grease which does not move off in spite of an extreme surface pressure during the closure of the tool. Temperature range up to +160 C. S.K.D can also be used as universal grease at guide bolts, column guides and gear tools with open toothing. F.L.G. GT-4 A product alternative for S.K.D for the use facing increased temperature requirements to approx C. The ideal product to fulfil hygiene standards like NSF. For screw connections in hot and cold application we recommend: G.W.F. F.L.A. This paste eases the assembly and disassembly of screw connections at nozzles and hot-runners. Even after long-term use the screw connections can easily be loosened. Manufacturer authorisation of e.g. Arburg, Ferromatic are available. A product alternative for G.W.F. NSF-H1 registered and has a manufacturer authorisation by Arburg GmbH & Co. KG.

13 Bremer & Leguil offers an extensive range of products, which have been especially developed for hydraulics, extruder gear boxes and mechanical clamping units of plastic injection moulding machines. All Rivolta F.L. products shown here are NSF-H1 registered and can be used in hygiene sensitive areas including cleanroom conditions. They are based on fully synthetic base oils in combination with an efficient additive package to give a superior lubricant, which offers wear protection, aging stability and corrosion protection. For hydraulics, clamping units, extruder and gear boxes we recommend: F.L. 75 F.L. 100 Hydraulic oil of ISO VG 46 class. Manufacturer authorisation by Arburg GmbH & Co. KG and Engel Austria GmbH are available. Circulation lubricant of ISO VG 68 class. Applicable as hydraulic oil or toggle lever lubricant. F.L. 125 F.L. 170 For the lubrication of toggle lever with an ISO VG 100 class. For the lubrication of toggle lever with an ISO VG 150 class

14 F.L. 250 F.L. 400 Applicable as extruder gear oil or for oil-lubricated tie-bar guidance. ISO VG 220. Manufacturer authorisations by Arburg GmbH & Co. KG and Knödler-Getriebe GmbH & Co. KG are available. Applicable as extruder gear oil with an ISO VG 320 class. F.L. PG 250 F.L. PG 500 Special oil based on polyglycol for the total loss lubrication of toggle lever and separate extruder gear boxes. ISO VG 220. Polyglycol oil for gears and clamping gear boxes of toggle levers. ISO VG 460. In areas where no NSF Classification is needed we recommend our C.H.G.range: C.H.G. 4/6/10/15/22 C.H.G. 4/6/10/15/22 are fully synthetic top performance oils with high-grade anti-oxidation and corrosion protection additives as well as inhibitors to minimize friction and wear. The products were especially developed to fulfil a wide range of demands in hydraulics and gears.

15 04 Release Also as release agent Bremer & Leguil offers you tried and tested Rivolta Products which reduce cycle times and increase the output. F.L. TM Spray Is silicone-free and does not contain ingredients which disturb a subsequent processing, like lacquering, galvanizing or multiple component production. Especially developed also for the use in sensitive hygiene areas, as NSF-H1 registered. Material compatibility towards poly-carbonate is proved. S.I.L. Spray Is a mould release agent containing silicone which can be used as lubricant and release agent for conveyor belts, chutes, guides and also as moisture protection and upkeep of surfaces or for the assembly of rubber and plastic parts.
