As many know, it takes many active members on the scene and behind the scenes to make the events possible. Many of us enjoy the sport enough to make it worth devoting the time and effort it requires. Thanks to Competition Directors Jared & John for taking on the responsibilities and many tasks to direct fun & successful events this year. Elections for SSCC were held at the October meeting, so the new slate of officers will be taking over at the January meeting. The club s Christmas dinner will be at Jared & Michelle s place in Medford this year. It is always a lot of fun with great food and a lot of visiting, so be sure to mark the date, Sat. Dec. 13, on your calendar. More information later in this newsletter. There is not much club news at this time of the year, so this will be the last newsletter for this year. The 2015 schedule will probably be published in the January newsletter. Or, hopefully, it will be on the website. Cari Hinesly (541) hineslyc@hughes.net CLUB NOTES Fall Enduro Thanks to all who worked, ran and/or sponsored this event. What a nice weekend to end our local events. Good sportsmanship, lots of practice runs, good weather, new friendships being made and old friends enjoying each other s company, made it a delightful event! It was great having so many drivers new to our track. Keep in mind, that the Spring Enduro, probably next March or April, follows the same schedule as the Fall Enduro and is a good chance to test drive any changes made during the winter. The schedule for next year will probably be out in January. Jan s Foods We have appreciated the delicious cheese steak sandwiches, burgers and Polish dogs Jan has made for lunch at the track lately. We thank her for coming to our events and hope she can come again next year!! Cascade Lakes Hillclimb Thanks to Andrew VanBortel and Bruce Hodesson for volunteering to co-chair our 2015 hillclimb. They will be needing many members to help with the many tasks to put on such an event. Keep watch for requests early next year to sign up for positions. Hillclimb Association The Northwest Hillclimb Assoc. will be holding their yearly meeting in Bend, OR again this year on Saturday, November 1 at the Black Bear Diner.
