As many know, it takes many active members on the scene and behind the scenes to make the events possible. Many of us enjoy the sport enough to make it worth devoting the time and effort it requires. Thanks to Competition Directors Jim & John for taking on the responsibilities and many tasks to direct fun & successful events this year. The club s Christmas dinner will be at Jared Haaland s place in Medford this year. It is always a lot of fun with great food and a lot of visiting, so be sure to mark the date, Sat. Dec. 14, on your calendar. More information follows. Elections for SSCC were held at the October meeting, so the new slate of officers will be taking over at the January meeting. Good sportsmanship, lots of practice Siskiyou Summits WEBSITE: runs, good weather, new friendships being made and old friends enjoying each other s company, made it a delightful event! It was great having so many drivers new to our track. A new overall, top time was set at this event!! Congratulations to Britain for breaking the 21 year record of 3: Keep in mind, that the Spring Enduro, probably next March, follows the same schedule as the Fall Enduro and is a good chance to test drive any changes made during the winter. 2 Jan s Ohana Grill & Ice As mentioned in the last newsletter, we have appreciated the delicious cheese steak sandwiches, burgers and Polish dogs Jan has made for lunch at the track. We thank her for coming to our events and hope she can come again next year!! Awards The banquet at Inn at the Commons (formerly The Red Lion) again consisted of a delicious meal, conversation and championship awards. Jim and John presented the plaques to the champions and door prizes were given to the lucky winners. Thanks to Kim for organizing another great dinner!! Speaking of Kim, she was presented a money tree at that dinner. The following note is from her: Thank you to everyone who donated to the generous gift I received at the Awards Banquet for my baby boy (and future racer). Rod & Custom Show If you have been to SSCC autocrosses lately, you may have noticed a flyer for the So. Ore. Rod & Custom Show on the table. They are inviting a few autocross sportscars to participate in their 2014 show on February 8 & 9. So, plan to attend this event to see a variety of vehicles.
