4 Searle TEC cooler THE IDEAL COOLER AT A COMPETITIVE PRICE The Searle TEC cooler range by Kelvion, consists of nine small blow through unit coolers, with a wide operating range of + 10 C to -40 C. The coolers are suitable for high, medium and low temperature applications in the commercial refrigeration sector. The range has 1, 2 and 3 fan configurations, and can be either ceiling mounted or wall mounted (optional wall mounting kit must be specified). The highly efficient performance of the cooler is accompanied by a pleasing aesthetic design whilst maintaining a service focused functionality. Suitable for use in most refrigeration and air conditioning applications. 6 Searle TEC air cooler TEC RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The casework is formed from galvanized steel and finished with oven cured white epoxy powder paint (RAL 9010). Comprising of a back plate with formed sides to which the coil is fitted. The front panel is a combined fan plate and drain tray which can be lowered on a hinge bracket to gain access to the electrical box and coil connections. The coil connections are handed on the left hand side when looking into the air off face of the cooler and are the only handing available The coil technology used in the TEC cooler is optimised specifically for DX refrigeration applications. Inner grooved tubes are used to optimise performance by enhancing the internal heat transfer coefficients. The tube is then mechanically expanded to provide a tight Interference fit between the fin and tube. Advanced technology available from Kelvion enables companies to cut refrigeration operating costs significantly, offsetting some of the impact of high energy prices. 10 Searle KEC air cooler HIGH EFFICIENCY HIGH PERFORMANCE The Searle KEC cooler is part of the next generation of Unit Coolers by Kelvion, with market leading performance, noise levels and energy efficiency. Using EC fan set technology as standard across the range, the power input for the KEC cooler is typically in excess of 50% lower than that of equivalent AC motor technology. The KEC coolers cover a capacity range from kW at Eurovent conditions and are the cooler of choice for a wide range of cold room applications. The KEC has a modern aesthetic design and is easy to install and maintain without compromise on reliability and rigidity. A range of refrigerants can be selected using Kelvion selection software. The KEC defrost system has been designed with efficiency and application variability in mind. The KEC utilises more heater elements than previous design variants, operating at a lower temperature to achieve a more even heat flux. 12 Searle KEC air cooler KEC RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The casework is formed from galvanized steel and finished with oven cured white epoxy powder paint (RAL 9010). The construction is both rigid and versatile, giving the installer and users flexibility and confidence in service life. Connections and junction boxes for the unit are easily accessible through removable side panels which are fixed in place using easy-alignment keyhole slots. The drain tray is fabricated from galvanised painted steel and is supplied loose, once the unit is installed on site the drain connection can be fitted to the tray and the tray fitted to the unit in its operating position. The coil used in the KEC range balances surface and defrost efficiency and is the result of extensive R&D. The coil is assembled in one block, is available as either 4 or 6 rows deep and uses using aluminium fins as standard. The coil has inner groove tubes on 43mm equilateral centres mechanically bonded to the fin. Using the same robust case construction as the standard KEC range and utilising the same high efficiency fan sets, the difference lies in the coil itself. To develop this coil technology specifically for a range of CO2 applications, extensive testing and analysis was essential to ensure they deliver the performance required across a wide range of potential operating conditions. All units are tested to 1.43 x maximum operating pressure before delivery, and 3 standard operating pressure are offered as standard: 57 Bar = KEC-LP 80 Bar = KEC - MP 90 Bar = KEC-HP. 18 Searle KME air cooler MAKING REFRIGERATION GREENER The Searle KME cooler range from Kelvion is ideally suited to large cold rooms and small warehouses where an efficient cooling solution is required. The KME can also be used for industrial food processing and agricultural applications. To find the optimum model from the range it is recommended to use the Kelvion Searle Selection Software. The KME has developed as a green life cycle approach to the design and manufacture of refrigeration components. This ensures that in addition to looking as good in use as they do in our catalogue, our units have a worthwhile monetary value at the end of their service life. Effectively, we have engineered eventual recycling into our products when they are still on the drawing board. Defrost - Hot gas or electric defrost in coil and tray. Alternative Fin Materials - Epoxy (AV), Aluminium Magnesium (ALMG) Copper (CU), Electro-tinned copper (ET). streamer - To extend the air throw of the standard 400mm fanset. Forkguard - Guard system to prevent accidental damage from forklift trucks or similar when sitting the cooler at low level. Axial fans - For significantly increased air throw or for external pressure of 65Pa. Peripheral Heaters - Available in conjunction with axial fans recommended for applications below 0 C. Heavy Electric Defrost - Comprises of additional coil block heaters to increase the total defrost load by approximately 40%.

20 Searle KME air cooler KME RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The products consist of specially coated white RAL 9010 galvanised steel casework, designed for maximum durability in the harshest environments. Removable side panels help to ensure accessibility during maintenance or installation operations is quick and simple. The drain tray is also fabricated from galvanised steel, and is shipped separately inside the packing case. We would advise the drain tray is loosely fitted onto the cooler with the fixing screws before lifting the cooler into position from underneath. All KME units feature the unique D fin, specially developed a using ½ inch diameter tube with an extended rifle bore inner surface. This maximises performance, providing high efficiency heat transfer and a secondary surface for frost deposits, to extend periods between defrosts. Fins can be aluminium, vinyl coated aluminium, copper or electro-tinned copper. 30 Searle DSR dual discharge DSR RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL All external metal work is finished in a white high gloss epoxy powder painted RAL 9010, applied by Kelvions modern electrostatic powder paint plant and is baked and cured at 180 C, ensuring an even and durable finish. The coil is supported by the coil end plates, which in turn is connected to the hanger brackets, This enables the cooler to be mounted flush to the ceiling for easy installation. The fan plate can be unbolted and reversed on site to alter the position of the drain connection. The drain trays are fitted underneath each coil block and are bolted to give easy access to the bottom for cleaning and maintenance. The coil assembly comprising of two identical mirror image coils positioned diametrically opposite each other and connected together by their tube plates, forming the chassis to which all the cladding panels and motor mounting beams are fixed. All coils are tubed up with 1/2 OD inner groove tube, has a grooved internal surface which provides a significantly increased surface area compared with plain tube plain tube. 46 Searle FM Industrial cooler RELIABLE ENGINEERING THAT LASTS The Searle FM range of large floor mounted coolers from Kelvion features the draw through arrangement where air enters the front of the cooler horizontally and is turned to discharge either horizontally or vertically depending on the option required. Short cased ducted axial fans are mounted directly on top of the cooler. A discharge cowl can be fitted on top of the unit over the fan set to permit air discharge in the room away from the cooler.
