3 Evolution flexible Elevator without Drive Room Higher, Bigger, Flexible. Facts and Data. The traction driven passenger elevator without machine room, Evolution flexible with variable elevator car dimensions, a rated load of 630 to 2500 kg and a speed of 1.0 to 2.0 m/s, was conceived for more efficient and economical passenger and freight transportation in residential buildings, commercial buildings and factories, hotels, hospitals and nursing homes. To cover a broad range of needs, Evolution flexible is divided into the four types "M", "L", "XL" and "XXL". The table below provides an overview of the most important technical data for each of the types. The ranges listed for the car widths and depths are divided into 50 mm steps; the car heights, door widths and door heights are divided into 100 mm steps. All car and door dimensions are according to EN "Accessibility to lifts for persons including persons with disability". The Thyssen Mini gearless, a frequency-controlled, gearless high-performance drive, and our decentralized control system are used in the Evolution flexible, as in all the elevators in our Evolution series. The elevator installations are equipped with our efficient and proven doors. You can choose between the space-saving, two-panel side opening telescopic sliding doors (M2T), which open to the left (as shown) or mirror-inverted to the right; the elegant, central opening two-panel sliding doors (M2Z) and the spacesaving, fast, four-panel central opening telescopic sliding doors (M4TZ, only for types L to XXL). And to complete the range, you can select between the installation of the landing doors on the landing in a recess or entirely in the shaft. The following tables with shaft dimensions and the drawings are according to EN 81 and refer to minimum dimensions and a left-hand elevator design! Larger dimensions are possible with the exception of the shaft depth for open through and the recesses for the doors, possibly causing higher costs for e.g. additional shackles, and/or other larger minimum dimensions. For example, a larger space between shaft walls and elevator car can make a higher railing on the elevator car necessary, which in turn requires a higher shaft head (see page 16). Of course elevators in right-side design, i.e. with counterweight and operating box on the right-hand side are also possible. The following shaft ground plans and vertical sections show the door openings with gaps between the wall soffit or lintel and door frame which can be filled by means of concreting or plastering and thus easily be made to fit the wall plastering of the building. However, you can also use wall frames in the case of altered dimensions. You will find more details in our project planning document "Door openings".
