LOGVIN; Chief Designer of the Company STILETTO O.I.KALACHEV, Had performed the comparative ballistic test for aunition provided by the Company STILETTO for test. 1. TEST SUBJECT Test subject is comparison of armor-piercing capability of aunition for small arms, developed by the Company STILETTO, to aunition armed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fired against specimen of armored steel of different thickness: Reference code Description of a specimen Specimen No.1 Armored steel plate 2P with nominal thickness 6 ; Specimen No.2 Armored steel plate ARMSTAL 500 with nominal thickness 8 ; Specimen No.3 Armored steel plate HB500MOD with nominal thickness 10 ; Specimen No.4 Armored steel plate ARMSTAL 500 with nominal thickness 12 ; Specimen No.5 Armored steel plate ARMSTAL 500 with nominal thickness 16 ; Specimen No.6 Armored steel plate ARMSTAL 500 with nominal thickness TEST OBJECTIVE Test was performed pursuant to assignment by the Vice-Minister of Defense of Ukraine on issues of the European Integration No /з dated for evaluation of armorpiercing capability of aunition for small arms in accordance with the Procedure for comparing armor-piercing capability of aunition for the small arms, agreed with the Head of the Central Missile-Artillery Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Director-General of STILETTO Company and approved by the Head of the CRI AMH AF of Ukraine on PLACE AND DATE OF TEST Place of test: small arms ballistics and aunition department, aunition quality control department of the military unit А2192 (Settlement Gorodok, Zhitomir Region). TEST ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS 5.1. Evaluation was performed for armor-piercing capability of aunition for the small arms according to GOST B Steel armored plates and their components. Test regulation for their anti-small-arms resistance, OST В Powder and propellant charges for artillery, mortar and grenade launcher rounds. Ballistic test methods, OST ВЗ Estimation procedure for external ballistic test and Comparative methods for armorpiercing capability of aunition for the small arms, approved on by the Head of the CRI AMH AF of Ukraine Environmental conditions. Environmental temperature С. Air humidity 60-75%. Temperature in ballistic section room +17 С. Air humidity in ballistic section room 59-69%. Barometric pressure 738 of mercury column
4 5.3. While testing armor plates were fastened on a rest and using turntable was set to provide preset angle for a bullet to impact the obstacle. Properly certified special optical device with goniometer (angle meter) was used to determine impact angle. Angle setting error was not exceeded While testing each body component was hit by several recorded shots, not less than established at the Comparative methods for armor-piercing capability of aunition for the small arms Prior to test persons involved in the testing were familiarized with safety measures valid at the ballistic section. Regular riflemen from the ballistics section participated in range practice. At every shot the tasting persons were at a shelter. Measuring and other equipment were prepared pursuant to operating instructions Prior to a shot the specimen sighting places were marked with a contrast color marker or paint. After a shot places and numbers of bullets hitting were marked with a contrast color marker or paint Non-recorded hits were considered the following: perforated hits, obtained at a bullet trajectory velocity lower that the controlled one, or indicated in documentation for a specific type; bullet hitting the edge of armor plate or at a distance of three calibers (according to a barrel caliber); lack of penetration hits at distances from hit edge to a edge of the adjoining hit less than three calibers (according to a barrel caliber); consequent hits of bullets into previous hits. Shots, considered as unrecorded, were repeated. 6. PROCESSING, ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF TEST RESULTS.
