The salt and/or chemical products left will corrode the intercooler and eventually creates perforations that will allow air leaks and/or water ingestion. SOLUTION On UNregistered watercraft to be used in salt water only, upgrade the intercooler to the 2013 setup by installing a vent hose to the current intercooler. PARTS REQUIRED NOTE: Order parts through normal channels. 2 Intercooler Modification Modify the intercooler as follows: 1. Trace a center mark on the intercooler as per illustration. 1 sbs _a 1. Provided template sbg _a A. 15 mm (19/32 in) B. 12 mm (13/32 ft) 2. Drill a pilot hole of 6 mm (1/4 in) where marked. 3. Drill a final hole of10.5 mm (13/32 in). 4. Remove sharp edges. 5. Insert grommet [P1] in hole. 6. Insert fitting [P2] in grommet. NOTICE Before drilling, install a piece of tape at 25.4 mm (1 in) from the end of each drill bit to assist for drilling depth. Carefully drill hole in hull in 2 steps mm (1 ) 10 mm (13/32 ) sbs _a 25.4 mm (1 ) sbg _a Hull Drilling NOTICE Make sure to use the appropriate drilling template for each vehicle. Install template to hull. sbs _a 14 mm (9/16 ) Using a 5/8 in countersink bit, countersink the previously drilled hole to 15 mm to 16 mm (19/32 in to 5/8 in) diameter. NOTE: Countersunk holes reduce the possibility of gelcoat cracking during the thread cutting. Thread hole in hull. 2 / WARRANTY CAMPAIGN

Apply sealant to fitting threads. sbs _b Refer to the appropriate SHOP MANUAL and reinstall: Intercooler ibr actuator. Connect vent hose to intercooler fitting. Secure vent hose (P1A) with locking tie. DO NOT overtighten. 1 2 P1A sbs _b 1. LOCTITE 5900 (P/N ) Insert vent hose in hull and properly torque fitting. sbs _a 1. ibr actuator 2.
