Through world class innovation, program execution and customer understanding, we aim to provide high tech systems for enhanced situational awareness and protection of personnel and property in high-risk areas. The battle proven PROTECTOR Remote Weapon Station is developed to enable personnel to operate the system from protected positions in a vehicle, building or other remote installations. The system is flexible and modular enabling add-on capabilities like short range missiles, 360⁰ sensors, smoke grenades and non-lethal effectors. In addition, the RWS can be networked with battle management systems, shot detection and integrated command and control systems. 7 m i s s i l e s ys t e m s KONGSBERG PROVIDES STATE OF THE ART STAND OFF MISSILES FOR SHIPS, TRUCKS, HELICOPTERS, PATROL AIRCRAFT AND FIGHtER AIRCRAFT NORWEGIAN FRIGATE WITH NSM AND AEGIS NAVAL STRIKE MISSILE NSM Kongsberg s latest Naval Strike Missile is ready for 21st Century. NSM is a long range precision strike missile designed to penetrate enemy air defences and to ignore enemy decoys. This fire and forget missile approaches land and sea targets undetected due to the stealth design and dual band Infrared imaging seeker. The unique seeker can perform target recognition while flying based on target information downloaded to the missile before launch. Advanced mission planning functionality gives the missile the possibility to make optimum use of terrain and to have multiple missiles arrive at the target simultaneously to overwhelm the target s defences. The NSM missile is already in use by NATO nations and the missile can be launched from a wide range of platforms such as ships, trucks, helicopters and fighter aircraft. HELICOPTER STRIKE MISSILE HSM HSM is a state-of-the-art long range anti-ship cruise missile, which combines precision inertial guidance with a high-resolution dual band imaging infrared (IR) seeker featuring unique search geometry. The missile does not require any in-flight guidance from the launching platform and the seeker will autonomously locate, verify and home on target. HSM has superb penetration capabilities against heavily defended targets with its all-passive approach, stealth design, high maneuverability, advanced sea skimming capabilities and large payload. This missile has been in development since 2001 and is ready for helicopter and maritime patrol aircraft integration. PENGUIN Penguin MK2 MOD7 is a state-of-the-art, proven anti-ship weapon system for naval helicopters. The stand-off range out to the horizon, the all passive flight, the horizontal and vertical flight profiles together with random terminal maneuvers give the Penguin missile unsurpassed defence penetration capabilities while ensuring own helicopter platform survivability. NSM LAND TARGET TEST FIRING JOINT STRIKE MISSILE JSM The JSM is a new missile based on the proven NSM technology. The Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) has decided to acquire the F-35 as its next generation fighter. The RNoAF needs a modern ASuW weapon for its aircraft and has started the development of the Joint Strike Missile JSM. The JSM is designed to fit internally in the F-35 weapons bay, and is prepared for external carriage on other aircraft, for example the F/A-18 Super Hornet. In addition it will be Network Enabled (NEW), and is designed to operate autonomously in network/satellite denied environments. The JSM has easy mission planning on JMPS, prior to take off, during flight and while missile is in flight. AT TAC K S W I T H O U T WA R N I N G

8 A i r D e f e n c e S y s t e m s Strong Performance Culture HAWK XXI The HAWK XXI system combines combat-proven air defence credentials with advanced fire control and battle management. It provides unparalleled HAWK system performance today and a customer-selected path to more robust, flexible and lethal combat capability tomorrow. Upgraded with a 3D sensor and modified command post, the FDC, HAWK XXI maintains HAWK as an effective and highly lethal air defence system against low- to medium-altitude air threats. Combat efficiency, readiness time and survivability are dramatically increased, while manpower requirements and maintenance/support are reduced. The HAWK XXI is interoperable with higher echelon and controls subordinated VSHORAD/ SHORAD systems complementing the HAWK. HAWK XXI is prepared for NASAMS, increasing the number of fire channels and total firepower. BOC The BOC for ground based air defence operations rests on the emerging concept of Network-Centric Warfare (NCW), where the BOC serves mainly two purposes; Information sharing and Coordination of effort. The outcome is increased combat efficiency through economy of force, shared awareness, and synchronization of assets in time and space and increased speed in decision-making processes. The BOC provides the necessary awareness, operating in an integrated environment where combined effects of complementary weapon systems can be exploited. The BOC is a key player in the integrated and digitized air defence battlefield. SHORAD/VSHORAD The FDC-SHORAD/VSHORAD (FDC-S) system provides Air Defence Battle Management, Fire Control & Coordination and System Communications Management. It is a scalable system that provides a flexible solution for varying mobility, deploy-ability and mission requirements. Since the early 1970s, KONGSBERG, in partnership with Raytheon, has supplied various command, weapons control & information systems to armed forces all over the world. KONGSBERG is offering state-of-the-art ground based air defence solutions such as National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS), HAWK XXI and Battalion Operations Center (BOC), all with the KONGSBERGs Fire Distribution Center (FDC) as the core element. With the FDC-S system, the situational awareness is increased and weapon operators into-action time is dramatically reduced. Surveillance, Tracking, Identification, Threat Evaluation and Weapon Target allocation is optimized for the weapon systems. The FDC-S ensures friendly protection and coordinates the effects of SHORAD/VSHORAD in the battlefield. NASAMS NASAMS sets the standard for modern air defence in NATO towards current and future threats NASAMS is the world s first operational Network Centric Medium Range Air Defence System. Its unique features with net centric architecture, multiple-simultaneous engagement and beyond visual range (BVR) capabilities closely integrated and adapted to a country s adjacent weapons and command and control systems, expand the defended area and enhance the total fighting capability of the force. NASAMS is based on the combat proven, dual use AMRAAM missile, and in recent years the IRIS-T missile, AIM-9X missile and ESSM has been fired from the NASAMS system with great success. NASAMS can defeat current and emerging low altitude air breathing threats, such as cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and other fixed and rotary wing platforms. It is also interoperable with PATRIOT and other air defence weapon systems, and can be employed for homeland defence and high value asset defence missions. FDC The FDC is the core element of all KONGSBERG Air Defence Systems, enabling integration of a number of active and passive sensors. The FDC can integrate with and control a range of effectors such as guns, active and passive missiles, and high energy weapons. The open architecture design ensures flexible integration with legacy and new modules depended on current needs. The FDC is selected by 10 different countries, many of these EU and/or NATO members.

9 n ava l S y s t e m s We have more than 35 years experience of Combat Management Systems (CMS) for all types of surface combatants, ranging from fast patrol boats via corvettes and frigates to destroyers. one third of the world is covered by land - the rest is covered by kongsberg S u r fac e V e s s e l s KONGSBERG is responsible for the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW) and the Integrated Bridge/Navigation Systems on the new RNoN Fridtjof Nansen class frigates. These sub-systems have been integrated into a modern, modular, COTS-based Combat Management System, which can easily be adopted to other classes of surface combatants. The ASW system has also been sold to the ROK Navy KDX III destroyers and the Royal Australian Navy Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers. S e a P r ot e c to r Sea PROTECTOR offers unique operational capabilities for countering asymmetric threats and enhances overall vessel protection in the face of terrorism. Sea PROTECTOR is a fully stabilised remotely controlled weapon station for small calibre weapons and missiles, based on the very successful army version of PROTECTOR. Sea PROTECTOR has exceptional capabilities for harbour defence and is well suited for naval vessels and patrol craft of all types and is integrated on 12 different vessels of all classes. s u b m a r i n e s S k j o l d C l a s s The Skjold class vessels are capable of speeds up to 60 knots. Accordingly, they are subject to very strict requirements for safe navigation at high speeds. KONGSBERG s Integrated Bridge System features an integrated solution designed to support the navigator in all phases of vessel operation using workstations optimised for the bridge environment. The Integrated Bridge System supports all navigation functions required by naval vessels, e.g. ARPA, (W)ECDIS, (W)AIS. In addition, the system provides Combat System functionality, enabling wheelhouse operation of vessel self defence (e.g. Sea PROTECTOR). KONGSBERG has developed and manufactured Combat Management Systems (CMS) for submarines since the late 1960s. Today, our systems feature state-of-theart technologies based on our extensive operational experience in cooperation with our customers, and continuous R&D. Our latest major deliveries include the MSI-90U CMS supplied to the Federal German Navy and the Italian Navy for their U212A Class Submarines. Thus far, 15 MSI-90U systems have been delivered to Norway, Germany and Italy. Our next generation system, the MSI-90U Mk 2, is now ready for delivery. It is already contracted for the Italian Navy U212A 2nd Batch submarine project and also delivered to the Indonesian Navy U209 KRI Nanggala upgrade project. Our product portfolio now also comprises Passive Sonar Processing Systems and Submarine Navigation Systems. KONGSBERG has developed and manufactured Combat Management Systems (CMS) for submarines since the late 1960s. U n d e r wat e r S u r v e i l l a n c e KONGSBERG s Underwater Surveillance & Protection (USP) system is part of the C-Scope family of high performance maritime, land and air domain awareness products for ports, coastal authorities, offshore companies, national security, and joint military organisations. The system is available as a permanent installation or a portable system. The KONGSBERG range of sonars includes unique diver detection sonars using wide band, optimised frequencies for long-range detection of divers and diver delivery vehicles. The use of Data Distribution Service (DDS) provides the users an open architecture and brings Plug-and-Play into the vehicle. ODIN FSS provides a solution which shortens the loop from target detection to accurate fire on target. ODIN FSS provides the right amount of firepower at the right place at the right time. The ODIN FSS is seamless integrated with the KONGSBERG Army HQ C2 application and the mobile C2 application which will minimize the blue-on-blue incidents. ODIN FSS uses NATO Armaments Ballistic Kernel (NABK) to calculate the ballistics and supports all phases of a fire mission, from initial planning, thought deployment, target engagement, damage assessment and reporting. B lu e F o r c e P R OT E C TO R Blue Force PROTECTOR (BFP) represents a new capability at vehicle level. The system is integrated with the successful PROTECTOR RWS and the main objectives are to reduce the risk for Blue on Blue incidents and support commanders in near real-time battle management. The system provides functionality and information to the commanders in order to maintain situational awareness in near real-time, increase the efficiency and quality of the command and control process and support the execution of their tasks. Typical applications are IP networks, TDM networks, soldier systems, C4I systems, tactical area communication systems, air defence, command post communication and mobile extension of tactical area systems. High grade bulk and IP encryption is supported in all systems. All units are fully ruggedized by design for operation in a tactical environment. EriTac IP utilizes the frequency hopping tactical radio link RL532A (BIII) and RL542A (BIV) for high throughput (up to 70 Mbit/s). Both Ethernet and TDM interfaces are supported. The UHF TacLAN broadband IP radio system consists of a vehicle and a soldier radio, both fully compatible in the NATO Band I (225 to 400 MHz), offering data rates up to 2.5 Mbit/s. The VHF MRR radio system consists of a vehicle, a manpack and a handheld radio, all compatible and operating in the MHz band. The radios can be connected via IP Ethernet or RS232 interfaces. Data rates up to 64 kbit/s are supported. Advanced structures for Extreme Use KONGSBERG is a leading, international supplier of advanced sub-assemblies to large international airframe manufacturers in the aerospace and defense industry. RL542A is the new tactical radio relay for mast mounting IPX600 is the Tactical Router and Media Gateway. IPX600 supports a wide range of interfaces.
