4 Teledyne DFD Teledyne Digital Frequency Discriminator technology is ideally suited to the implementation of compact, low cost, high resolution, ultra broadband Instantaneous Frequency Measurement receivers. Integrated Amplitude and Time measurement of pulses within the DFD help these modules form a key element in any wide-open high-poi system. Teledyne is also investing heavily in the development of all-digital wideband IFM s with PDW outputs allowing greater performance in an all-digital measurement receiver. Technical Expertise Teledyne Defence Ltd components and subsystems expertise forms the heart of our products in the ESM / ELINT / RWR markets, with the ability to generate highly integrated narrowband systems, a state of the art product range for SIGINT type applications also is also available. Three decades of technical development enable TDL to offer complete Antenna to Digit solutions into complex Ground, Naval and Airborne surveillance and SIGINT receivers. Manpack Ultra minature (<7cm long), low power consumption, combined frequency/amplitude discriminators have been combined with advanced digital processing to offer the ultimate in covert or UAV based, wideband measurement receivers.

5 TELEDYNE ENABLED Teledyne CAD Software The many years of design experience are captured and shared throughout the engineering facility via proprietary RF design and analysis software. Software models developed through many years of experience allow for a right-first-time approach to new system design cutting down design lead-times and removing risk from complex programmes. Through the use of Autocad, Autodesk Inventor, NASTRANS / FEMAP and other COTS software, the Mechanical design team ensures all designs meet the full environmental characteristics specified by our customers.

6 Precision Manufacturing Teledyne Defence manufacturing is certified to ISO9001: 2000, OHSAS18001 and ISO with 220 sq mtrs Class 10,000 clean rooms. Work is controlled in line with IPC-610 Class 3, and MIL-STD-883 requirements. Teledyne Defence s wide range of skills and expertise allows the best use of appropriate technology for the project from an engineering and manufacturing perspective, resulting in excellent quality products ready for volume production. Teledyne Defence precision engineering capabilities range from simple filters through complex filter assemblies, MMIC insertion, MIC hybrid integration to complex subsystems taking advantage of high levels of integration.

11 Low Visibility Landing (LVL) Next generation MIMO radar solutions being developed to assist LVL of airborne platforms in brownout conditions. Last line of Defence Through funded R & D activity Teledyne Defence Limited is already developing the next generation of digital electronic arrays and sensors, including adaptive beam forming on small arrays, large arrays with modest fractional bandwidths and coherent Multi- Input, Multi-Output (MIMO) arrays. This key work will offer a range of solutions to both contemporary and evolving asset and border security applications worldwide, whether military or non-military, and across the Land, Sea and Air environments. The Future photonics In a photonic system, Wavelength Division Multiplexing allows a large number of parallel receivers to be fabricated cheaply, combined with digital receivers, this could remove the traditional microwave element of an EW systems. Teledyne Defence is at the forefront of this technology development.
