2 MOTORCYCLE Motorcycle engines are different from automobile engines in structure. Unlike automobile, the motorcycle engine is integrated with the transmission gear and clutch. In other words, all these parts share the same oil inside the engine to lubricate the components. As motorcycles engine oil is used in such severe condition compared to automobile, the use of engine oil exclusive for motorcycle is highly recommended. WHAT IS JASO MA? Standard provided by the Japanese Automotive Standard Organization to certify the grade of motorcycle 4-stroke engine oil. ECSTAR engine oil meets JASO MA specifications for optimal wet clutch performance. WHAT IS API? Standard provided by the American Petroleum Institute to certify the engine oil quality and performance. The latest classification among the twelve is SN, which was introduced in Replacement Guideline NEW USED Interval 1 st 1000 km or 2 month from 2 nd time 6000 km or 1 year * Engine oil degrades over time even if the vehicle is not driven for a long distance. We recommend to change the oil at the adjacent intervals (whichever comes first). The guideline varies by model, condition of use and location, etc. Please refer to the owner s manual or ask an authorized Suzuki dealer for more information. 18
